  • 1/3/2019 beautiful unusual flow.

  • 2/18/2019 Slower than some of Fiji's other classes. Good deep stretches, not as much flow. Nice gentle beginning if you are stiff.

5/30/2019 done in hotel room in Denver. Seemed slow at the time but I feel great afterwards. Occasionally I have a moment during yoga in which I see muscles in my legs or feel strong or flexible in some way and realize I don't hate my body in that moment. That's a form of progress too.

9/19/2019 The moderate pace of this class is a great way to really pay attention. Was good for me today as I did not feel I had the energy for vigorous vinyasa.

  • 4/20/2019 Great class! I tried to do it after a run and my thighs were not very happy. Would like to try it pre-run to see what difference there is in holding lunges etc. Challenging but not impossible. Medium length medium difficulty.

  • 5/12/2019 Pretty sure I've done this class at least once before. Threw my back out getting my kindle out of a tote bag four days ago. Really put a dent in my daily practice. Finally after an almost two-hour walk this morning I thought I might be ready to try something more than gentle stretches. I love this practice. The way my back goes out it's straightening up in the lunges that is difficult. More so on one side than the other. I tried not to push myself this morning, I hope that I don't regret my enthusiasm later. It's difficult for me to know whether to move through my pain or stop doing anything. Generally I think moving it better but one of these days I might have to actually face the medical system.

  • 5/18/2019 Recovering from back injury. This class is just what it says. No vinyasas or jumping back and forth but a lot of stretching for a difficult area of the body. Can be challenging depending how flexible you are but in the end relaxing.

  • 2/16/2019 Wow. This class is too hard for me in lots of places but it definitely gives something to work towards. Teacher gets right to it, there is no build up to vinyasa as there is in some of the more beginning classes. Definitely one to revisit. Singing meditation at the end is beautiful.

9/23/2019 WOW. I stayed away from this class for a long time because I remember it being difficult. And it is. But so rewarding. I am not certain, but I think that a lot of the things that were simply impossible before were things I could approach this time. A wonderful class to do on the Equinox, a time of transformation.

  • what it says. Great hand stretches. Do these regularly. Can do in regular chair.

  • 3/15/2019 Third time I have done this class. Seemed a lot easier this evening. Who knows. Maybe I am getting the hang of some things? I love the glute pulses in this class.
3/26/2019 Did this class again tonight. Some of the instruction is now falling into a "review" kind of category in my brain... could it be that I am learning something? Still feels good but I can also recognize how it is easier than the "intermediate" classes I have been doing as a part of the March challenge.

  • after beginner challenge

  • 4/12/2019 Second time doing this class. It felt possible today! I love balance poses (the ones on my legs anyway). Love the focus on ankles. Was a good class for me today.

  • Beginner to Intermediate

  • 5/21/2019 Still recovering from back injury. Most of this class is possible except for the moving lunges. Ouch ouch. A good class to revisit, slower than many of the vigorous vinyasa classes. Really pay attention.
7/2/2019 Lunges not so painful! Hooray for healing! Yesterday I started weight training again and my arms gave out with fatigue about halfway through the long down dog/ wild thing sequence. Had to take some child's pose during that part of the class. Hope that I will eventually build arm strength to make it easier.

  • Great for doable power and warmth in a short amount of time. Did it after a very cold outdoor run--perfect.
4/28/2019 did this again because I got back from a long walk and didn't have the patience for an hour long class today. This is a great sequence for after other exercise or on a day when you want to work at core but don't have a lot of time. I think I should do this class more often. It is "beginner" because there are no fancy arm balances or binds and such but it's a workout all the same.

  • 5/20/2019 A good short practice. I still have so many aches and pains that I couldn't appreciate it properly. Nice if you don't have much time.

  • 2/25/2019 about 20 minutes of this class is relaxation before any movement and shivasana post movement. Great if that is what you want. The actual stretching moving part is approximately the middle hour. Good stretches, the beginner classification seems accurate. Not an ideal choice if you are looking for intensity or flow movement. I do feel relaxed afterwards.

  • For March!

  • 3/4/2019 This is a great class for me. Seems like it would be good after other exercise--hits a lot of the stretches/core work I would do anyway after cardio. Not too vigorous but really useful. Some balance poses, doable ones, yay.
4/11/2019 Did after work today. Seemed quite possible, I felt as if I could do everything in the class. Not as challenging as the "intermediate" classes I've been doing lately and moves at a pace that is easy for me to follow. I barely broke a sweat but I feel relaxed and there are good quad and hip stretches in this class. Pigeon, yay.

  • 3/5/2019 great class. Challenging but not so difficult as to be too frustrating. A lot here for me to work on. This should be in regular rotation. Less description, more flow, but still slow enough I can handle it.

  • 3/6/2019 such a great class! This one should be a regular especially when I am running more. Stretches where I most want them in my legs. Flow is fairly quick for me, generates heat. Some unfamiliar deep stretches to work up to.
4/27/2019 another great experience with this class. Flow no longer seems so quick. Have to be careful with my knees in the kneeling postures but today I tried hero pose and almost got my butt to my heels. A good class to do regularly. Great compliment to running.
6/24/2019 Love lizard poses. Knees still problematic. Otherwise, great class.

  • 3/9/2019 This class is very different from others I've taken. More mobile, with the idea of a pose as a things that is not static but can shift even while you are in it. There are several challenging poses I can't do (headstand, crow, wheel) but also a minimal number of vinyasa transitions so a good break from chataranga. At first I didn't like this class but I think it is one I should revisit.

  • great leg stretches, pre-and post are wonderful bookends for a long run

  • 3/14/2019 Was feeling out of sorts tonight and decided to try this class. I was sweating in 15 minutes--really honestly sweating--and the balance poses felt so good. Lots of this class is too difficult (that arm balance thing, WHAT EVEN) but there are alternatives given. I'm pretty sure I can do more of this class than I would have been able to eight weeks ago. One to come back to for sure.
3/4/2020 Good solid class. Virasana still difficult, arm balance still out of reach but on most other things I think I have improved.

  • 3/17/2019 hurt my back in extended side angle pose. Would like to come back to this class and be able to do the full thing. I like the initial series of flows a lot--makes sense as a progression and helps me understand what the ultimate goal is.
7/4/2019 Did the whole class. A good one for a holiday like today when I have plenty of time. A lot of my difficulty today had to do with doing weight training yesterday. My muscles are still fatigued. I expect this will even out as I develop a weight training habit again. Right now my body is still in "ouch what did you do!" mode. On the plus side, a lot of the flows did not seem as difficult as they once did. Although I will say that hot weather makes mats sticky, and that does not help the stepping back/ stepping forward routine.

  • 3/23/2019 Great class when one has the time for it. There is nothing impossible here (except crow pose) but there is plenty of challenge because of the length and leisurely pace. There are rests throughout the class so it's doable but does require commitment. Today Tracey's words about courage were just what I needed.
4/7/2019 Did this again because it is in the Yoga for Eating Disorders program. A good class for Sunday mornings :) It might have been my imagination but it seemed a little easier this time. Or maybe I wasn't fighting it so hard.
2/9/2020 Wow. I guess it's been a while since I did this class. It seemed much more accessible this time--and I got crow pose for a count of 6! Wow! Did this on a Sunday afternoon while it started to snow.

  • 3/24/2019 great short class for hamstrings/low back! perfect for me for after other exercise.
4/29/2019 did after 50 minutes on AMT at gym. Great sequence. Need to be careful of knees in that half-split thingy pose. There are a few poses in this class I wish I could hold longer, might need to work them into an impromptu personal sequence. Good for low back too.
5/5/2019 did after running. Very nice. Should read notes before I do class; knees still hurt in half split.

  • 3/25/2019 This class is pretty advanced for me. The vinyasas are brisk and my back is not flexible. Definitely an aspirational class.

  • 3/27/2019 a lot of this class falls into the
9/1/2019 I had forgotten this class entirely, it seemed totally new. I did a split second of crow pose! AMAZING! The 8-angle stuff is clearly absurd but the rest of the class is great.

  • 3/29/2019 one to revisit in several months. A lot of this class is very good for me and really helpful, I love how she builds up to poses. Several of the poses are definitely beyond my current reach. There is a weird tone to the music like mike feedback. I didn't notice it much while we were moving but at the beginning and the end it's noticeable.

  • 3/3/2019 Several poses too difficult for me right now. Love the emphasis on playfulness and creativity. Love the stretches in the hips. One to revisit in 6 months or so.

  • 5/23/2019 A good well-rounded basic class, short enough to do on a day with other exercise. Can't do crow but most everything else is possible.

  • 5/1/2019 Great class, all seated! Wonderful hip stretches that feel so good. Some of them are unfamiliar and definitely worth revisiting. This should go in regular rotation. Excellent after other exercise.
5/16/2019 Love this class. My back has been giving me a lot of grief for a week now. Finally did some treadmill walking this morning and chose this class to help recover. Hope it helps...

  • 4/6/2019 great class medium length. Plenty of twists and some playfulness. Talking might be a little too much for some days but today I appreciated the message.

  • 4/8/2019 A hard class for me today. Lots of twists and some arm balances that are out of my reach. Good class though. Revisit in 6 months or so.

  • 4/9/2019 Another great class. I was feeling very slow and heavy and stiff today. Should do this again on a different day and see how it feels. It is quite possible that my heart chakra is imbalanced.

  • 4/14/2019 Much gentler practice than the other chakra flows. Would like to learn some of the chants, I wonder where one can do so?

  • 5/22/2019 Did this once before as a part of the YFED program. Still feel twinges in my back, but at least this class let me feel as though my legs got some work. I love the goddess poses, the half moon, the lunges.

  • 4/22/2019 great class with lots of twists. Impossible arm balance at the end (maybe one day?) Lots of lunges and revolved poses.

  • 5/2/2019 Love the standing poses and hip stretches in this class. There are quite a few challenging but not impossible things. The biggest problem for me is the deep squats. I love them for my hips but my knees really don't like them. I hope I didn't re-injure my left knee. I would like to return to this class but will need to look up modifications for deep squats at least temporarily.

  • 4/23/2019 Wonderful class, some deep hip stretches. Includes dancer pose which I love. Next time I would like to use a strap for the bent knee on floor pose to get traction between foot and shoulder. This class was just what I needed after some time on the treadmill.

  • 4/24/2019 bookmarked to try again in 6 months. A lot of things I can't do! How on earth does one get arms strong enough?

  • 5/13/2019 Great work on how to align things to avoid exacerbating the lower back. Should do this at some point when I'm not in pain and learn to practice it throughout all my movements.

  • 5/14/2019 definitely really need this. Hope my back returns to normal soon.
5/28/2019 some great stretches especially for hips. Felt good today, although my back isn't 100% back to normal. Some of the stretches in the first half of the class seemed entirely new--maybe I blocked them out from my memory last time because they hurt so much.

  • 7/23/2019 Very nice longer class. Nothing too difficult (no arm balances) but room for challenge.

  • 5/24/2019 A great slow class for relaxing. Lots of hip stretches, wonderful after a day of sitting. Not a good class if you want quick, vigorous movement, but for relaxing and changing mindset, very good.

  • 5/29/2019 great for when you need a short complete practice.

  • 6/2/2019 great stretches for after running or walking. Short enough to do with other exercise.

  • 6/8/2019 great shorter class with some fast flows, also some slower stretches.

  • 6/11/2019 I want to do this class again

  • 6/15/2019 Great class (except for the impossible knee stretch at the end). Good balance of shoulder stretches and leg work (lunges) without too much emphasis on repeated chaturanga.

  • 6/25/2019 great core work and some quick flows. Great class.

  • 8/11/2019 Great practice after a run. Just a few simple stretches but held for a long time. Feels wonderful.

  • 7/14/2019 Love this practice for deep hip stretching.

  • 7/27/2019 A challenging review of basics, if that makes sense. Found some of the plank holds challenging. Good reminders about a lot of alignment etc, emphasis on opening the shoulders/collarbone.

  • 7/30/2019 Great work with breath here. There are some very challenging arm balances I can't attempt.

  • 8/1/2019 Slow, mindful class

  • 8/3/2019 A great quick flow which is just what it says. Plenty of attention to shoulders and hips. Great for after a long walk. Nothing so challenging that it is frustrating except there are some kneeling poses, hurts when my knees hurt.

  • 8/7/2019 As of today, most of this class is impossible for me since it focusses on arm balances. I am bookmarking it for kicks, in case someday that should change. FTR, there's a lot of good instruction about how to get into the poses, so if I ever thought my arms could handle it, this would be a good class to come back to.

  • 8/12/2019 Great focus on twists and a wonderful instructional sequence for working up to binds. Should be one to come back to.

  • 8/17/2019 A lovely, sweet, deep series of stretches for the places that need it most after sitting at a desk all week. Includes saddle pose (on knees with torso back--bad for my knees) so worth looking up some alternatives for that. I should probably practice this series almost every day, if only I had the time.

  • 8/19/2019 Great slow flow. Not too difficult, very centering and grounding. Good leg balances. Yay.

  • 8/22/2019 This is a wonderful class with a little bit of everything. I love the standing balances. I think this would be a great class to go in regular rotation.

  • 10/13/2019 good quick flow for weekdays.

  • 10/26/2019 Wonderful way to get into the tricky spots of the spine on all sides. Nothing gymnastic here but done with attention feels great.

  • 11/2/2019 Amazing deep hip stretches. Some arm balances that made me laugh out loud haha as if. But all around a great class I feel good afterwards.
2/3/2020 Feels great. Just what I needed after sitting at a desk all day.

  • 1/20/2020 good relaxing practice after a tiring day. Not stressful.

  • 2/4/2020 this class is great for the hips and much harder than it at first appears.

  • probably need this...

  • great for post-cardio
