Fabulous class…just FYI, if you have 25 more minutes for your practice, you might do David’s Restoring the Body class as this one is a shorter edit of that class.
WOW! What a wonderful class for both body and mind. Thank you.
This class was great for really feeling warrior one. It is so wonderful to come back to the longer and gentler classes after doing lots of vinyasa and power classes - I am now looking forward to the restoring equilibrium. Thanks!
l love this class. It begins with relaxation, moving into neck and shoulder stretches. Hamstring and hip flexor stretches are incorporated with balance poses. This is all done with careful direction making the poses challenging but reachable. Many thanks David.
Thank you very much David. This is exactly what I need for balance too. It is a calm exercise and a good subject to remember to ground yourself. I will do this with great pleasure.
I have been lax in the past couple months and when active have been wobbly so, the word balance caught my eye. I committed to a longer time as I have no demands on me today. And this was perfect. Every stretch brought a sigh and gasp of "oh I needed that". Even the hated Eagle Arms brought appreciation. Throughout I kept wondering how you knew I needed that.
This was perfect. I am back.
Thank you and Happy New Year.
David has the gift to calm me down everytime i do one of his classes. In the final relaxation part I could actually visualize myself in a green forest!
Thank you David
That was AMAZING. I was hurting emotionally and physically and just didn't want to do anything. This class was nice and slow and gently and made all parts of my body and mind feel better. I can now have a restful night. Thank you!
Thanks David.
Great Class. Very Relaxing.
The only thing I'm missing is a little bit of music. I have found that it calms my mind and helps me to really focus and stop wandering. Other than that, I'm really satisfied with this session. Thanks, Dave
After finishing 4 months of intensive chemotherapy, I started the Restoring Balance Class to help improve my health. I have done this class for the past 6 weeks, averaging 5-6 times per week. At first, I found it difficult to do some of the poses, particularly the squat, but I stuck it out. Every time I viewed the class, I perfected the techniques. I'm finally able to do nearly all of the poses as shown on the video - even the ones where I had a hard time letting my shoulders relax (thanks for the constant reminders, David). Overall, I would recommend this class for those who are looking for a way to get back in tune with their bodies, gain strength, and improve flexibility.
I found the poses in this class nice, and loved the stretching, but thought the instruction was a little lacking. The transitions between poses were long and slow, but David didn't guide me through them as much as I felt I needed to be guided. As a beginner I found the descriptions of movement vague - "come out of the pose" doesn't describe enough to me. I think I may have done something a little wrong - perhaps didn't protect my back during one of the transitions - because I wound up with tweaked back muscles the next day. (Full disclosure: I only made it through the seated portion of the class before I stopped.)
This is the first video on Do Yoga With Me that I haven't liked, but I will just move on to others that I do like! It's such a wonderful site.
Balance work has always been my weakness, especially the older I get. Liked the progression of standing poses in this sequence. Practice, practice, practice. Love David's calming voice, demeanor.
I'm 22 and over weight but always wanted to try this stuff but was too nervous and self-aware to. This teaching was remarkable and I'm going to keep up with it. Thank you guys very much.
I normally do the Power/Vinyasa sessions, so this was a nice surprise in gentleness, relaxing completely and taking great care with oneself. For me this whole thing was an exercise in patience to slow down and cherish easing into and out of every pose. Nice feeling afterwards.
If you're an old, stiff, beat up, son-of-a-bohunk...do this class! You'll thank yourself for it immediately!
Thanks. I will try it now. It sounds like a class for me. :-)
Thank you for sharing this beautiful class..It was a blessing!
good class
Thank you so much for this class, it was awsome. I could definitely feel my shoulders and hips opening up, and the savasana was indeed beautiful and deeply relaxing.
I will most definitely be doing this class again. Namaste.
