About Me:
Rachel first starting practicing yoga about twenty years ago to cope with the stresses of New York City, and stayed for the amazing mind-body connection. She also found that yoga helped her slow down, take a deep breath, and generally be a much kinder human being! After taking her first teacher training in 2003, she was hooked! She dove in headfirst, completing two 500-hour certifications, hundreds of hours of continuing education hours, and becoming a teacher trainer with Yoga Works. She became the Director of Teachers College for YYoga (Canada's largest corporately owned yoga company), where she created their 200 and 500 hour certification hours in addition to numerous continuing education programs. She currently helps yogis and yoga studios all over the world create excellent trainings and online courses. She loves teaching flow, hatha, and power style classes and continues to lead teacher trainings in Vancouver. You'll love her classes if you appreciate a keen attention to alignment, anatomy and detail! As a yoga expert, has written for periodicals such as Yoga International and the Huffington Post, made guest appearances on CTV, Breakfast Television, and numerous podcasts, and presented at venues such as Wanderlust and the Omega Institute. She exuberantly shares her knowledge and skills through coaching, her blog, YouTube channel, and free online classes.
Interests:
Looking at the bright side of existential crises, reading, blogging, singing opera, dancing with my nieces, playing with friends, health and longevity, learning - always learning! And of course, yoga.
