Yoga for Singers
This sweet class is designed specifically for singers and vocal performers. We’ll target the muscles and areas needed to increase lung capacity, increase throat relaxation, and support beautiful vocalizing. By incorporating humming into the practice, we’ll soothe the vocal cords and warm up the voice. Perfect for warming up, or cooling down, from vocal work.

I love to sing and so appreciate this practice. I do have a concern, however, with jutting the jaw. I demonstrated this movement to my dentist and he advised that it didn't meet dental approval. My dental hygienist also warned about not opening our mouths too wide. Both these activities cause strain and pressure on the muscles and tendons in those areas and can result in lockjaw. (Also don't think crossing our eyes is wise.)
Thank you for your understanding.
This was so good it made me emotional. Seriously. What do we have to do to get a sequel? Or heck, a whole series? ;)
I guess I'm too serious with my yoga practice, I've never mixed it with my voice like that... and that's a pitty cause oh it feels so good! What a great preparation for expression! Thank you Rachel, I loved it.
fantastic warmup for singers! I do this multiple times a week and it's so helpful as a professional singer who uses her voice a lot! thank you :)
