7-Day Inversion Yoga Challenge with Rachel Scott

Rachel's inversion challenge takes you on a seven day journey that will help you to build your confidence in practicing the iconic inversions of the yoga practice.

In her practical and fun style, Rachel methodically prepares and educates your body to safely explore inversions like handstand, forearm stand, headstand, and shoulderstand. Choose a single class to focus on a single inversion, or journey through all seven days and solidify your understanding of these fun, challenging poses.

Note: All of these classes require a wall and some also require yoga props, such as a block or strap. If you need a prop for the class, it will be listed below the instructor's name.

This challenge:

  • will feature the Day 1 video on Feb. 14th, with the videos posted daily after that
  • is FREE for the first day

To join: If you already have a subscription, you don't need to do anything. If you are not a subscriber, choose an option on the right to enter the challenge - $7 to just do this challenge (that is accessible forever), or a subscription that auto-renews for $10/month or $99/year.

This challenge is absolutely brilliant! Each tiny element of each inversion is broken down into the smallest detail (the kind of detail I love!) and you will work muscles you didn't even know you had! Rachel's guidance and cueing is spot on, and there are always variations/modifications moving into each pose as far as your body allows. This challenge has given me a starting point from which to work and I'm excited to see how far I can progress by repeating this series of classes regularly. I believe that even if inversions are part of your regular practice, this challenge will remind you of proper form and alignment and help you to improve and build strength. And if you've never attempted inversions before (like me!), still give it a go! I cannot recommend this class enough!

Some flexibility in my elbows is making the spiral rotation a challenge. Working that feeling of stability in the child’s pose without weight on the hands is helping.
Once the wrists are flexed and bearing weight on hands and knees is trickier for me.
Maybe my 6 ft arms on my 5’11” frame a particular challenge.
