This is a more gentle vinyasa style yoga class with a focus on using your breath and core to get you into your seated, standing and lunging poses. It's intended to slow you down and allow you to give more attention to your poses, with an emphasis on twists.
This can either be done as a stand-alone class or as Day 13 of the Daily Dose 30-Day Intermediate Yoga Challenge.

I have a hard time with feeling comfortable in twists. Your approach felt easier and better in my body. Also, I liked the different vinyasa you do - better on the shoulders and helps to strengthen the back. Thank you.
It was a good class but not my favorite one so far. It was nice to have an easy class to end my weekend though!

I really enjoyed all the wringing out. I am starting a new job tomorrow and have been pretty nervous, but at the end of this practice I felt lighter and my feelings had tipped over into excitement rather than anxiety.

This was a nice, gently challenging intermediate class. Plenty of need for strength balanced with cues to take or leave the more vigorous path. (My inner rebel appreciates an invitation over a command.)

This was a gentle and effective class to follow up yesterday's challenge class. I enjoy easier/slower classes like this because they allow you to use as much or as little strength as you need at a pace that lets you sink into a pose for a few breaths before slowly and gently flowing on.
Great way to end the week and work out any tightness left from yesterday’s challenging class.

The instruction to use the deep core changed my twists and moved them to the lower back and out of the top of my back. That was such a useful instruction. Thank you for that Melissa!

This was a great class! I must say though, I much prefer when all of the directions and sides being stretched are guided rather than left up to the students. I find it difficult to drop down into the flow of the practice when I'm constantly thinking "Did I just do my left side or my right side?" or "Am I stretching in the correct direction?" Otherwise, thank you for this helpful class.

I have never taken a class from Melissa. I enjoyed her instruction. The class seemed more of a beginner class than an intermediate class. The great thing about yoga is there is benefit from any type of class that you take.

Great twist work. The guidance is perfect as you work on finding your deep abdominals and practice your twists.
Twists always help my back out, so this class really helped.

This is a great one, the slower flow allows for more intentional engagement of the core and also provided a lot of great stretching out of my hamstrings which were a bit tight after yesterday's practice. And of course, I love Melissa's gentleness and options she gives us.
