If you have taken some time away from yoga, whether it's due to an injury or other life event, this is a great class to get you going once again. Fiji slows down the typical pace of her class to spend time re-establishing yoga principles while moving you through a fun, dynamic vinyasa class.

Thank you Fiji. I've been away from the mat for a few months. This is a perfect class to re-connect with yoga spirit and practise. (Now I have some catching up to do to get current with the 30-day challenge. )

Ode to a Yoga Mat
I am the yogi, you are the mat
however long I’ve been gone, however I arrive
you are there to meet and hold me
you accept beads of sweat
dropping warm from my brow
you are the arms that
refuse no embrace
you don’t expect perfection
you don’t judge my form or habits
you ask only that I show up
wherever I’ve been in this battered world
however armored I am, you take me in
such is the power of your heart
each and every day I practice
I vow to peel back the stories
that congest around my heart
you need only that I lean into my pain
ask nothing but my simple breath
and the beating heart of a spiritual pilgrim
ready to be rejoined
into your ocean of love and compassion

Just getting started on Day 1 and Back to the Mat with Fiji is perfect after having been sidelined for almost 2 weeks with a knee issue and then a ruptured ovarian cyst! Thank you for this practice! Namaste
