This beginner hatha yoga class is a nice way to wake up and start your day, if you only have half an hour to spare. Melissa goes at a nice pace, spending enough time in poses to create a good release, and emphasizing alignment and breath. You will love the way you feel after doing this class!

I tried to do this to wake up in the morning but maybe I should try something more difficult. I found that she didn't allow enough time to hold poses and she talked too much during poses. I need to be able to fully settle into my pose and my breath and it's hard to do when someone keeps repeating things.

Maybe you need a different type of class. This one was to awaken and stimulate. To settle in, perhaps try some vinyasa...especially the relaxation poses.

Ha, I just rewatched this and I do talk a lot in it! But I don't hold the poses too long on purpose - I'm trying to keep you moving in the morning. But I totally agree there is more talk than needed. If you try out some of my newer videos on the site you may like them better. I'm constantly refining and trying to speak less.
