Hanuman Fun
Hanuman pose is the forward-back splits. To achieve this advanced pose, Crista has designed an ingenious - and fun - flow that stretches the body in just the right way and at just the right pace to lead up to the depth of hanuman. It's a peak pose the deserves respect, and Crista honors it by addressing the muscles involved - the gluts, hamstrings, hip flexors and lower back - before moving into it for the first time. This was great! Such an interesting and fun flow, and beautiful ballet-esque movements at the start. I've never done Crista's classes before, but she's lovely, and I'm keen to check out more! :-)
