Establishing Core Strength I
This class is meant to be a part of a series that you can see in our program Establish Your Core Stability and Strength and on our Yoga for Beginners page. After you have learned how to breathe and engage your core and stretch your body while your core is engaged, now David teaches you how to strengthen your core. Core strength will not only make you stronger and protect your spine, it will make you feel taller and lighter in your everyday life.

This video was excellent! It almost exactly mirrored how I teach core strength as part of my physical therapy practice. I really appreciated the ongoing reminders throughout this video to keep each individual aspect of the core engaged.
David , I appreciate this class a great deal. I was up to intermediate with smidgen of advanced classes in December and then I stopped due to life circumstances. Now today, almost two months later I am restarting and WOW, do I feel it. What a great beginner class. I love working my core and you really helped me work it today.
What if I can't sit in the basic pose with my back straight?
Tough class but doable. I feel proud of myself for getting through. Core work not my favorite, but 5is class is great. Beautiful choice of music. I really fell into a totally relaxed savasana. Thank you as always.
