I have been searching to understand where my deep hip pain comes from, where in my body, what muscles are involved. Whenever I try to do the leg lifts and stretch (10:03 in video) I am having trouble keeping a straight and still posture.

Try putting your hands on the floor behind you so you can keep the straight spine, then gradually challenge yourself by taking weight off the hands so you can build strength. Let me know if you have any more questions.
