I suffered three weeks with back and hip pain after moving heavy furniture and only on discovering this amazing class did I figure out that my problem was sciatic nerve pain. The first day doing this practice was difficult, but after eight consecutive days, gently increasing my range of motion, I am now pain free! I returned to my regular daily yoga here on Do Yoga With Me, and am slowly regaining strength and flexibility in my lower back, but still PAIN FREE! I am eternally grateful for David's wisdom and and calm reassurance that this practice would help.
Great as usual. My sciatica is so much improved. However, I went to this practice today just for the leg stretch after working on my Bowflex machine.
That movement we do in the seated position is so awesome. I find I do it often after every practice, especially the one were we move our chest down over our thigh. When I come back up I feel fantastic as I can feel a great stretch from my neck right down to my hip - its as if I can feel my sciatic nerve being stretched and healed.
