Planting the Seeds of Renewal

Intermediate II

In every moment we are planting seeds of what will grow. In this practice we will explore easy, fluid movement and notice our intentions along the way. Where does our mind go? What seeds are we taking care of in our body and our life?  The practice leads up to a full lotus with variations included.

It's the next day and both of my hips are painfully sore. FYI: I do cardio and/or weights 5 times a week, and yoga about once a week, usually at 'Do Yoga With Me's intermediate levels. Hope it's just me!

This class was wonderful for my hips. I also really appreciated the talk about how the seeds we plant (the kinds of thoughts we have) grow. I'll be thinking about that in coming days!

This is such a great class! My hips feel amazing and I loved the way Jonni-Lyn talked about planting seeds and renewal. It made a lot of sense to me.

What a beautiful class!!!! It left me feeling very calm and centered. I never did blossoming lotus - beautiful pose and fun to do!! Also, I never squeezed with my hand during fire log. That brought the pose to another level. You prepared us well for full lotus. Thank you so much, Jonni-Lyn!!!

I did this post workday, and it was beautifully renewing; I’ve been practicing for well over decade and never did Blooming Lotus pose — love it!! I am renewed by trying some thing new! TY JLF 🌈

In spite of the shapes that I can't achieve due to my flexibility and body proportions, I found this to be a very effective class. Jonni-Lynn sets the tone to find one's own shape within each pose, and I always finish her classes feeling better. Thank you!

I can't tell you how much I appreciate this class and you, Jonnie-Lyn. Though a few poses were not available to me, as you say "they are only shapes," and I made adjustments. Thank you!

I’m not sure why this is listed as a class by Fiji in the comments. Maybe the DYWM people can correct this.

This was a class that was centering and something I needed today. JL’s message of planting seeds was timely. Thanks, JL! 💜

Great class thanks. I agree that the full lotus is not Intermediate 1, but I did manage the roll forward in half lotus. Love the new space.

I attempted everything and enjoyed the whole class. It was good to do a few different movements too. (Did half-lotuses and did my best with firelog ;-))

Great practice as always, Jonni-Lynn! Grounding and freeing (in the ol' hips). Most of this is intermediate I, I'd say, but you might add an advisory about the double pigeons and full lotus, that will be advanced for some. Creative and energizing all in all, thanks!

Love the poses but transitions are too fast from one to another.

Agreed! I like JLF's sequencing and poses, but sometimes the cues and timing are too fast so I find myself losing proper alignment (or missing poses altogether!) if I try to keep up with her. My body feels like it wants to do those poses, just not at that pace. When I'm able to keep up, the poses usually feel great.
