This class is slow, gentle and offers a deep opening for the muscles around the hips, lower back and legs. Its pace alone allows you to sink into a beautiful state of calm. Add the beautiful sounds of Craig Paterson, master musician, and you will be lulled into a deep, lovely, relaxed state. Low back and hip releases I've never experienced before!! Just what my body needed. I think I'm still releasing from my two [wonderful] pregnancies over the last six years! Thank you for your thorough offering. ~Elly

A wonderful class to return to again and again. After the intense stretches of the left leg, it is remarkable how different the legs feel, one like a narrow reed and the right like a bulbous trunk. Then after the right leg stretches, all is well.

Thank you David, I was able to go that little bit deeper in breath, twists and length of holds today. I had a striking white sensation of heat through the final twists along my IT band. I was able to hold in this zone for just a little longer and it was intensely satisfying, deep and penetrating sensation I have backed out of before. Is this the kind of thing that I can expect as I become more adept and rhythmic with my yoga practice? Perhaps, it is. I wonder what toxins will be released today! Thanks again. Peace.

What a great description of riding, and holding your edge. There is a fine line we beging to learn as we practice, discerning between types of discomfort. There is discomfort that we need to lean into gently to allow for a deep release, and there is discomfort that is aggrivating the problem. You stayed with the sweet discomfort a few breaths longer and were rewarded with that release, stay breathe but don't push.
