This was perfect! I've been practicing yoga here and there for five ish years and for 10-60 minutes (almost) every morning for nearly two years (pandemic, eh?). This daily practice has taught me that my legs are twisted (hips out a little bit, knees in a decent bit, feet out a lot) and by using mindful movement, I have begun correcting them. I've noticed a difference in how my legs "want" to move and noticed all of the "shortcuts" I was taking when balancing (like turning my foot out instead of activating my arches). So now all of this mucking about with my legs has just TANKED my standing balance and I need to go back to basics. Most videos that I've found to help with balance are just full of lots of balancing poses, which isn't helpful to someone like me who is really trying to start from scratch and teach my body how to move correctly, after 30+ years of moving incorrectly (and the resulting knee and hip pain).

All this to say THANK YOU for an amazing beginner balancing video. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I fell out of dancer on both legs, but was able to stay in tree pose on one leg, so that's progress! I will be doing this video again and again and again! The divine light in me sees and honours the divine light in you, Guy. Namaste.

Wonderful class with Guy! I struggle with balance because of some nerve damage in my left foot so this was incredibly helpful (and gentle which I need). I will be doing this class again.
