This holistic practice is the best of both worlds, yang and yin. Fiji starts the class off with a warming intentional flow, then Satiya slows things down with some longer sweet holds. No props needed for this special class!
The flow with Fiji is slow and you have enough time to concentrate on each position. And then the stretch, I it’s amazing you really get into the spots around the lower back, around the neck and shoulders, around the inner thighs. It is just such a relief and your body feels tender.
Thank you, Fiji and Satiya! I echo what others have said. Wonderful class! I did this in the evening, after a long day at the computer, and it was a perfect blend of moderate yang to get my stagnant energy moving and yin to release and move me into relaxation before bed.
Two of my favorite instructors. Gentle class but enough movement and strength implemented at the beginning to get the energy going. Warming up in the yang and settling into the yin felt great and both Fiji and Satiya merried their two styles together fluidly.
One note is when I search for this class it isn’t easy to find. I saved it to my bookmarks but wanted to let you all know that setting “Fiji” or “Satiya” as the instructor didn’t bring the class up on the classes page. And then when I searched “Flow to Slow” in the search bar this class came up but had to go through a few pages to find it. Just want other people to be able to find the class easily!
Happy you enjoyed the class! If you go to our Yoga Classes page (https://www.doyogawithme.com/yoga-classes) and select Fiji McAlpine under the Teacher filter, this class should appear. It pops up for me third row down, third class.
Every time I do this practice, I love it more and more. I would love to see these two instructors do another one like this. Or maybe two other instructors, like Rachel and David.
Thank you for your kind words! This class was such a joy to create, I love Satiya as she is the yin to my yang. We do have plans to film more of these classes this summer when we can get two instructors together outside! I will put in the special request for Rachel and David, they are a great team!
Wow, I love the collaboration, would like to see more of this. I personally wished the yin part had a final twist, longer shavasana and a bit of rest for my arms after the yang postures, but all in all, will definitely come back to this practice! Thank you!
I was so thrilled to see my two favorite teachers combined for a yin/yang! that practice was absolutely delicious. please get these two together again!! i feel so much more balanced than before. thank you!!
This was an energizing, yet calming class for me on a day when I just didn’t know what I wanted to do. I will definitely come back to this class. Thank you both so much!
Two of my favorites in one class. Really lovely. It would be great to have more classes that offer visual examples of the same shapes made by different bodies. Today, I had difficulty with the double bent knee crescent shape and could not find a modification that worked for me - no block hurt me knees, lowest setting block under my bum too high to benefit from the stretch. I may try bolster or blanket next time. My body was calling out for this class. Thank you both.
As a Fiji Fan I was immediately drawn to take this class, which was also my first class with Satiya. What an experience! Fiji's slow but energizing flow gets you ready for the deep experience Satiya's guidance is. Her soothing presence can cut right through the screen which makes you feel seen and connected.
I had never experienced the "criying at the hip openers" memes first hand, but right when the "sweeping" began it was as if someone had pushed the cry button for me. Thank you Satiya! Thank you Fiji! Thank you Do Yoga WIth Me team! For bringing love and healing to everybody. Greetings from Mar de Jade. Mucho amor!
awesome mix of two of my favorite teachers! Loved it. The flow between teachers was flawless. Love to see more like this. I felt all warm and fuzzy at the end....the gang was all there! Meaning...two of my favorite teachers in the room with me....at this time in our lives, it felt like a hug!
This is my second time with this practice. It is great for those days if you don't know if you want to move fast or slow. This practice is the best of both worlds. Like others have commented below, I would love to see more of this style of practice where you warm up with a bit of challenge and then move to a different kind of practice - both apposing opposites.
Thanks you Satya and Fiji - watching the elegance of your respective flow(s) in such a glorious setting was inspiring. I'm grateful to be able to share in this peaceful practice!
I love ying to the yang classes. The balance of work and recovery, physical and mindfulness make it such a rewarding experience. Thanks Satiya and Figi
What a great idea to combine the talents of two yoga instructors! I love the seamless transition between instructors. The class was wonderful! Thank you both so much!!
Lovely class, the teachers work well together. I agree a longer savasana would have been nice.
It is good to see how each teacher looks slightly different in the same postures, which in turn helps me to stop striving to achieve a 'perfect' shape with my body, we are all different shapes.

This is, by far and away, my favorite practice on this site. The transition with child's pose was simply perfect. More like this, please!

YUMMY!! Nice combo. Yoging on a Sunday afternoon, in summer time.
Lovely. More like this please!
A fantastic pairing of two of my favorite instructors. The transition was seamless. This was everything I wanted in a class today.
I love ying to the yang classes. The balance of work and recovery, physical and mindfulness make it such a rewarding experience. Thanks Satiya and Figi

WONDERFUL PRACTICE, thanks Fiji and Satya for this nice energizing flow finishing in a deep grounding state.
