This gentle, slow, hatha yoga class guides you into a series of poses that thoroughly stretch the muscles around the shoulders and neck. It moves gradually toward deeper stretches, allowing the body to warm up and prepare for a deeper release of the tighter muscles in your body. Your neck and shoulders will feel wonderful after you're done.

I am so grateful to come across this website and this class. Much needed deep stretching for my tight neck and shoulders. I feel amazing and know that I will have a beautiful day today. Thank you!

I feel much better after the class. Thank you! You are a great teacher, my best online-yoga experience so far. I particularly enjoy the relaxing tone of your voice, the relatively slow tempo and the deep postures.

I've been doing gentle yoga for a couple of years now to deal with backproblems, it works quite good, when I succeed to have focus. _Most_ of the poses in gentle hatha/beginnner classes I manage without any major problems, but theres this one pose I never was able to do, and thats grabbing my toes. Even as a little kid (I'm 30 now).
Is it technically possible to train your body to be able to touch your toes when you are around 30? Any suggestion of videos / program to go through?
If not, is there an alternative to these poses. Everytime they show up I just do something else in the meantime, but I have the feeling those poses are really good for my body.

Hi, bobels.

Thanks for the question.

Everyone's body is different, so there is no one-size-fits-all answer in terms of flexibility. Some people has hamstrings that are soft and flexible and others have hamstrings that feel stiff, hard and impossible to stretch. The best thing you can do is try a few different things and see what works best. Often, with stiff muscles, self-massage works really good, particularly if you do it just before stretching. You can use two tennis balls in a sock or a foam roller for that.

I hope that helps.

Take care,
