Gentle Yoga for Reducing Anxiety

Beginner I

This beginner floor class was designed by Melissa to help you reduce your anxiety and/or stress. She guides you through a safe and thorough practice, with lots of gentle stretching for the whole body. Note: These props are optional but we recommend having a block or something else you can comfortably sit on.

This was so lovely and soothing - Melissa had such a friendly and warm teaching style and the soft, ground-bound movement practice was perfect. I am borrowing the ending twist variation for my own class tomorrow because I think it’s so perfect for my coworkers and our tight upper backs and shoulders!!

Wonderful relaxing class. Nothing too hard for a beginner and the instructor has a calm, soothing manner. The moves are not difficult but feel I received a good stretch. I had been doing Pilates in a studio but when Covid hit studio closed and I have not done much of anything except walking. I am trying this site out with the free yoga videos to see if I want to purchase a subscription. I will be looking for more from this instructor. Thank you and namaste!

Thank you SO much for this lovely gentle class, Melissa! I have unintentionally not stepped onto the mat for a while (but have been doing other movement) and felt i needed something whole body, gentle and on the floor and I came back to DYWM and here was this lovely new class. Just what I needed. I feel gently released all over...like my anxiety has been moved out of my body. This was just perfect. Thankyouthankyouthankyou.
