On day fourteen, Fiji brings the challenge to a peak, taking you through a tough power yoga flow that is full of wonderfully satisfying yoga poses, like deep back bends and forward folds, arm and foot balances, shoulder openers and core work. I did it!!!
Fourteen day intermediate challenge, and this one was QUITE the challenge, especially after a very long day at theater. Some of the balancing poses will be better met the next time around, but I am excited to see what is coming. Ah.... now on to a more relaxed week during theater hell week, then I will start this challenge over again to see improvement. I love yoga! (I just don't know how Fiji so calmly speaks throughout the whole practice!!) :)
I'm so grateful for the strength of peace this 2 weeks have given me. I am energized to continue a daily practice and excited to watch myself continue to gather strength and grow. Namaste Fiji.

I have been doing DYWM classes almost every day since the spring and they are all wonderful. Still, this series is a step up from me just picking a class every day. About half way through I was noticeably stronger and more flexible; I feel like I'm better at the poses, too--hips pointing the right way, tailbone pointing to the ground, etc. I look forward to each class because they are different and challenging. I actually got both feet off the ground in crow for a second! And, maybe more shockingly, I sort of like chair now. This is the second time through and it won't be my last. So happy to hear about the new challenge next year! Thanks DYWM!
