This wonderful, oceanside class is a yang-infused yin practice with a focus on standing postures, stability and grounded connection. The lapping sound of the tide on the rocks fits well with Satiya's calm energy and voice, as she guides you (without a yoga mat!) through a deeply fulfilling flow that releases tension in the legs, shoulders, hips and lower back.

Tried this class after having been doing satiya's classes for the last 5 years. So satisfying! leaving my body and mind with more space and feeling calm. Postures unique, steady and moving all at once. Love her classes, always!

Loved this interesting take on yin/yang and the calm gentle instruction - it felt so nurturing and genuine. Surprisingly strong practice and I felt so good at the end. Plus the setting and the waves!!
Namaste Satiya. That was a wonderful practice. Holding the postures was more difficult than I anticipated. I feel wonderfully balanced. The instruction, scenery and waves were beautiful.
I too find this reminiscent of the pre-Vinyasa era ... in so many good and satisfying ways. There is nothing "easy" about Satiya's class, but it is relaxing and challenging in the best way. The class is carefully paced and each pose and transition is described with care. I have tight shoulders, and the opening warmup was one of the best I have experienced!
Thank you for this practice. Feeling so grounded whilst not seated was a new sensation for me.
Namaste
Thank you Satiya! I was feeling fragmented. Your practice reintroduced alignment. Your practice, tone and pace is very welcoming.
Great class- thank you! Loved the sound of the waves in the background. Strength in stillness (:
So wonderful for deep, gentle awareness. This is just the right pace to have time to notice each tight muscle, and where I am holding tension in my posture and mind. i feel exceptionally calm and fulfilled. This will be on my list of go to yoga for peace. What a Gift! Thank you, Satiya.
This class reminded me a lot of the hatha classes I took when I was first learning yoga, back in the mid-80's. There was no vinyasa then, or any of the other offshoots that are popular today. Lots of detail, and precise guidance for getting into the postures, and long holds once there. This is actually the type of yoga that I prefer, but which I don't see being taught much today!
Thank you very much Satiya, for this lovely yoga exploration! I look forward to trying out some more of your classes.
what a wonderful class! it is energizing and calming at the same time. Thank you Satiya
I can say this is the very first time I experienced a yin/yang class on my feet. I was AMAZED at how my body reacted in such a positive way. While the class was just challenging enough, I could modify each pose if it was too difficult. Satiya is on of my very favorite teachers on DYWM.
Thank you for sharing you time, talent and instruction!
I've done soo many different classes on this website and this one is my favorite. As I'm finding more space in my pelvis and hips and as I'm developing my legs sometimes just standing with my changing body is hard work.. this class is so perfect for taking it slow and exploring movement and strength and balance
Thank you so much Satiya! This class was wonderful. It was really lovely to explore the yang in the yin during the standing poses especially.
This was an awesome class, I was very shaky through the process however and had to do modified positions through most of the middle, especially with the Warrior transitions. Satiya was amazing with depicting how it was to be done and how to do the modified version. It was a great class and I look forward to challenging myself with this class again and again.
Running day off rebalance with Satiya-just perfect. Great cues and encouragement and long stretches to shoulders, back, sacrum, hip flexors, hamstrings and calves. Thank you!
It was certainly challenging. My legs were shaking. But I felt so much more loose and relaxed by the time I was done.
It was great to help me focused with the infusion of yang postures, and the teacher reminded every details.
That was amazing! Thank you so much!
With great cues I was able to align my posture and find space in my hips that I had never felt before. Thanks Satiya. Looking forward to more classes!
What a wonderful mindful practise, thank you Satiya! I really enjoyed this class and will be coming back to it.
I have not done one of Satiya's classes before and that was just fantastic! Challenging but completely relaxing! I will do definitely do this one again. Thank you Satiya, your voice is so grounding and authentic.
I love seeing new classes from Satiya... This one did not disappoint. What a fabulous class.. I feel so very centered. Love how easy it is to find stillness in Satiya's teaching and direction.
A new Satiya class! This one is so much challenging than the others I've done - but I love Satiya classes!
