I enjoyed Nyk’s direction very much. I felt connected even via “net”. The practice itself, Yin Yoga (my first time) was a positive one. Thankyou Nyk.

As I hadn't been doing much yet today I started with a gentle sun salute to reconnect my body and mind before starting this class. Perfect. Thank you.

I enjoyed the stretching, however I found it a little strange to go straight into what can generally be a very intense pose, without any warm up. I did this class first thing in the morning and found it hard to go straight into it.

I'd previously been a Yin fan, was excited to try this class and I'm glad I read this article- transformational to a practice that I would have thought kinda simple otherwise. It opened up some new channels that I'm excited about for other yin practices. And thanks also to Nyk!

Thank you for sharing this! This has been a concern of mine for years but now I understand the benefits of yoga with cold muscles. Life changing!

yes when you are new to Yin that can be confusing. Warming up doesn't affect the fascia and Yin Yoga's super power is Deep Fascia. Also if you are finding the pose intense then you are doing too much!
Sounds like you could be new to Yin Yoga?
I highly reccomend practicing with my Yin Yoga for Beginners video here on Do Yoga With Me. It offers a very detailed explanation of Yin Yoga, how it's differnt and the Yin Yoga Practice Guidelines.

This is a wonderful class to relax hips and lower body. I didn’t even realize how tight I really was until I did this today. Thanks so much for a lovely, gentle class!
