Power for Deep Release

Advanced

Few yoga classes go so deep so quickly. Fiji takes you through this tough class mindfully, preparing the body for each stage and making sure that you don't push past your limit. A quick, challenging flow that leads to a sequence of wonderfully deep releases.

Wow the fastest 21 minutes. Love the deep stretches from left to right and vice versa. My neck and shoulders have been a littlte tight and this practice stretched me out. I will work on grabbing my toes from behind with both hands. Thank you.

I'm probably repeating a previous comment, but this class is really amazing! I would love to see more of this format: a 20-25 minute advanced class that combines power and deep release is just perfect after a long stressful day at the computer! Thank you Fiji!

This one is really advanced. My limbs are just not proportioned to complete most of the poses past the halfway mark. Major adaptations, yet still rewarding in its own way.

This is an awesome short practice. I got into some really powerful stretching sensations. I'm going to work towards being able to grab my foot with both hands in that pigeon variation. Good stuff!

Hi Fiji! This was amazing. I did it after warming up with the firefly pose workshop and between the queuing in that and the progression in this I felt like my body was truly engaged to Safely enter the poses. I’m 6mos pp and its so great to move my spine again. Thanks for a wonderful class. I look forward to revisiting both practices.

This was a great session. Thank you Fii. There was a point where I thought oh no I don't think this is for me. As I paused the video and lay on my back I heard my Sensi's voice say you are more oiwerful than you even realised. My response was I am not giving up I am just resting! Then I got up quickly hit played and loved the rest of the session. I will return to this as my body gets stronger and more supple I hope to progress in this class with a bit more flow and grace. Namaste. xx

That`s a great short practice! Loving that! And loving the forest! This makes me dreaming so much of coming to such places....oh...

I wonder for the eight sides pose....I am kind of getting closer there, I think, but I tend to have not enough strength in my wrists....especially the one that supports the other hip...hahah...if you know what I mean...it wiggles so much that I collapse as a house of cards....:) well....one day maybe! :) Thank you!!

Hi Karolina,

I would love to have you come practice with me in my Forests! We will make sure we do a couple of our practices in France outdoors next Spring! Yes I do know what you mean about wrist strenght and stability, it does take time to practice and build. Another tactic I use it trying to distribute weight more in other areas of my body so I am not dumping so much into the wrist.

This was such a great class thank you! I’ve had tension in my left hip, shoulder and side of my neck for a few days now and after this practice I feel amazing! I was battling slightly with the technicality of fish pose I felt like I wasn’t quite getting it smoothly - are you meant to use your legs to roll yourself onto your crown as well as power from pressing into your hands?

Hi Rochelle,

Happy to hear your were feeling good after the practice! When entering fish pose I push my fingers down towards my feet as I take the back bend, This is the action that brings me onto my crown, as another option you could start with bent legs, feet on the ground and use your feet if you need that to help you move into the pose.

I don't know what you call the pose when you have your legs crossed and shoot them out to the side as you balance your chest forwards, but I did it! Only on the left side, but that was enough for me to crack a big smile during this compacted, efficient yoga routine. It will keep me smiling through the day. Thank you!

I'll definitely be bookmarking this for future practice. Like all Fiji's practices, it is challenging but the poses flow so organically that it really allows you to move beyond the poses. Thanks!!!

AMAZING! What a way to finish the challenge, I think this was an excellent choice of class- a short challenging flow which made me feel jubilant and inspired and proud. Will be adding this to the rotation of classes I use in my daily practice... Right this minute I am feeling like I want to do just this class every day, I loved it so much! Thank you Fiji. Your instruction really helps me stay in the moment ( the pace of this class didn't leave much option either, haha). One of my favourite classes I've done
