I liked Fiji's Advanced Vinyasa class and I thought I was in good enough shape but all these transitions with the back leg lifted have compromised my back and I got a very painful spasm. Writing from my bed while icing my poor muscles, I would encourage the teacher and the programmers to start the class with more warm up/strengthening exercises, and the viewers to curb their enthusiasm while following. I got too overly enthusiastic and I am paying for it now.
Yoga is great. Exercise with care while listening to our bodies--oh, so important!

Hi Vivi,

Yes, it is definitely important to be cautious about pushing yourself too hard. Never continue if you are in pain. Also, an "advanced" class is for someone who has been practicing yoga for several years, or someone who is extremely fit and flexible. Be patient, everyone, with your progress!

Namaste,

Paul

Thnak you Figii for sharing! I have one question, the video cuts off at about 20 minutes. Did that happen for anyone else?

The most common cause of a video freezing is that your computer hasn't downloaded enough of the video to keep streaming it. To fix it, all you have to do is pause the video for a minute or two, then play again.

In fact, it's a good idea to play and pause the video before you begin any of them, so it can load some of the class before you press play again, which will most likely allow it to play right through without a problem.

Cheers,

David

I was already sore along my abdominal wall from a class I did yesterday, but I feel this class tuned into my core even more, so much in fact that instead of just working the core area my entire back adjusted itself, which I didn't even know I needed at that moment. Amazing class.

great workout. i love this routine, great core strengthening workout. my only complaint is it is way to fast paced. its hard to get into a breathing rhythm with this video. but it'll also serve as a good measure of progress.
