This pranayama yoga class calms the nervous system using a series of yoga breathing exercises, including deep breathing (diaphragmatic breathing) - which combines the belly, mid-chest and upper chest breaths - and alternate nostril breathing, or Anulom Vilom. The alternate nostril breath is a challenging breathing technique, so don't be surprised if you find it difficult the first few times. This class is great to do before bed or when you need to relax.

I suffer from anxiety and this is one of the many videos and meditations I turn to in DYWM. Thank you so much David and the DYWM team, a blessing indeed!!

During the holding part of the breath, I feel like my breath seem to be "rolling" around in my torso/belly. Is that unusual? I am new to yoga and pranayama, and I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong.

Please help correct me if I'm doing it wrongly.

Amazing calming results, both for myself and to teach others in my work. Thank you for the new skills and personal peace practice.

Thank you for making this available. After a tough day with my step-daughter I was frazzled and this really calmed and centred me. I will be practicing again and hopefully my lung capacity will improve too!

Great video. Tougher if you are new to these types of breathing. But it helped me mediate and should be very helpful for practice in kundalini yoga
