This can either be done as a stand-alone class or as Day 5 - Twists in Melissa's weeklong series: Basics and Beyond 7-Day Yoga Challenge. This fun beginner class with Melissa is focused on different twisting poses including reclined, on all-fours, standing, lunging and seated. These twists help to release the entire spine while also getting into the hips and shoulders for a full body practice.

This is one of my go-to lunch break sessions. Feels amazing during and after. Thank you Melissa, your classes are wonderful.
I return to this class time and time again when I need a gentle body movement class. The twists are just as gentle as Melissa's tone, and I enjoy the flow of the class! I am always happy to learn from Melissa :)

Pyramid pose wasn't available to me. With my front leg straight, I couldn't reach the blocks even when they were beside my feet. Placing one block in front of my foot put it that much farther out of reach. What do you suggest for those of us who aren't flexible?
Great question! You stumped me for a minute but I have a solution - a chair! One chair in front, or two chairs on either side would work well as extra long blocks. And of course bend or soften your knees as much as you need. Try that and let me know how it works out.

Perfect amount of twist and stretch! Great, clear instruction with plenty of modifications and add on's to get a little deeper. Fantastic hip openers.
I love this one with all the cross legged twists. But the main sequence was a little bit hard to follow because I was never sure which arm or leg I was supposed to use. It's hard to hear just left and right when everything is moving. Same side and opposite side flows better when you aren't staring at the screen.

That was my favorite class of 7 day series so far. My body has been through it the past several months after the birth of my first baby, and my back was in pain all the time till I started yoga back up again. Your 20-30ish minute classes are very busy mom friendly. Thank you for taking the time to do these classes!
