Just getting back into regular exercise following a mild back injury and a cold, I found this to be the perfect class. A nice steady pace, clear instructions and just the right amount of challenge I wanted today. The instructions were great for reminding me exactly how to position myself during each pose to help me protect my back and achieve the best stretch possible. Will definitely do this class again.

What a wonderful class. Definitely challenging for a beginner, but with the pace and precise instructions, very doable. I was able to complete every pose without any modifications. Loved this class and have bookmarked as one of my favorites.

Challenging nicely paced and extremely well directed. I found this a beautiful class for those beginners wanting a more challenging class but at a mindful more relaxed paced. Rachel hit the mark perfectly. I also appreciated the strengthening aspect with holds and pulses. Made my day!

I will add my 5 stars to the rating. Such a strong commanding voice gave direction without being effusive. Thank you Rachel and thank you David for putting this practice in the challenge.

I usually choose intermediate classes and prefer a steady paced class. Though, I had been away from my practice for a couple of months and recently recovered from a pretty serious cold and stressful times at work. This class helped lift the dark, heavy cloud that had hung over me for weeks. The breathing practice in the beginning of the class carried me and my concentration through the entire sequence and beyond. My racing, scattered thoughts shifted to focusing on my form and presence in each pose/movement. Rachel's style is clean, smooth, and playful. Thank you so much for sharing your gift. I am so grateful for DoYogaWithMe. I live deep in the woods so it is not practical to practice in a studio. This website is grounded and authentic. Much gratitude~

I've been practicing yoga for about 8 years now so I tend to go more for the intermediate/advanced classes. Only because all beginner classes I've tried here were too slow, easy and kind of boring to me. I think the teacher thinks of the student that is practicing yoga for the very first time, which is ok, it's just not for me anymore. On this beginner class Rachel did an excellent job of keeping the pace of the practice while using easy postures but making them challenging at the same time. I broke out in a sweat! This kind of class is great to build and strengthen our foundation. This is for the beginner and intermediate practitioners alike. I will be back again and again to this class for sure. Thank you Rachel and Thank you DYWM! I'm very grateful for this website.

I agree 100% with this. I'm also intermediate/advanced and I learned a lot from this. This practice, and Fiji's beginner vinyasa one will be practices that I return to to make sure I stay on track with my form.

This was a wonderful class. I'm just getting back into yoga after an injury and the pace was good, neither too fast nor too slow. I'm a bit weak for some of the poses, but I'll keep coming back to this one while I re-gain strength.

I'm going to have to revise what constitutes 5 stars. Rachel's directions are clear, the progression challenges calling on will power to hold longer and push deeper. This class will make you stronger and longer! Thank you.

A wonderful and challenging tune-up for me - I have been doing yoga regularly for 5 years and it's easy to get somewhat lazy in the basic poses. Rachel's instructions are crystal clear and her alignment cues make old poses feel new. I loved that she incorporated some strengthening pulse and holds. This is fluff-free instruction at its finest and I will return to it again to keep me on track. Thank you so much, Rachel!

I am recovering from ACL reconstruction surgery and have been really missing my Yoga practice. This was a great toe back in the water routine. Perfect pace and lots of good quad work that was easily modified

I just did Rachel's class. It was terrific! Challenging and very informative. Doing classes without a teacher there to make corrections is a weakness of home practice. However, Rachel's instructions really helped me know my posture was correct.

I am a bit beyond the basic, slow and gentle beginner classes, but not yet at the intermediate level. This really hit that sweet spot of in-between. I hope there are more like it coming! Rachel is an excellent teacher and the class was wonderful. Thanks!

I have taken many yoga classes, but this is the first one that ever made sense of what muscles I was using and what changes I can make to my alignment. Can't wait to follow along to another one of these!

I really love the way you describe which muscles to use...make sense to me and makes the poses so engaging! Did this yesterday and can feel all my arm and leg muscles. Not too sore, just sore enough ;)
Thanks Rachel!
