Such a good start for me to begin working on my too-tight leg muscles and joints. I love the way David teaches. He is exceptional at talking through each pose, making the it easy to follow along. This is an excellent short class for my rushed morning!
Really good after this am's run!
It feels amazing after a long run.
Awesome!
Awesome!
David, just love your classes. Thank you for sharing with us 🙏
David, just love your classes. Thank you for sharing with us 🙏
Thank you for this class. After a 26 mile bike ride yesterday and a run this morning I really needed it. These types of classes will allow me to maintain my flexibility as I move into my mid 60's. Thanks!
Thank you; many ‘one breadth’ holds of the postures, but never rushed. This gets the parts that don’t always get reached, especially the hip flexors and adductors for me!
Great after riding bike today. Must do this one again.
I practice a DYWM video just about every morning - and I love them all, don't get me wrong! But, most of them are arm and shoulder heavy. Sometimes, gosh, I'd really like a 20 or 30 minute yoga routine that challenges leg strength - or even just gives some good stretching, like this video. There are a few videos that are great for legs, but they aren't described or tagged that way, so I stumble upon them over time. It would be great to have more dedicated leg routines...just to switch it up from the arm-heavy vinyasas...maybe chair pose vinyasas instead? In any event, this was great - it was a nice break and I feel ready to tackle a bike ride now! Thanks David!
Thanks for the feedback! We do have a lot of videos that focus on the legs, but I think you're right - the titles don't necessarily indicate that. We'll contemplate this... in the meantime, thanks for the feedback. Hope you had a nice bike ride!
My husband Bradley and I do DYWM videos together every morning- I teach ZUMBA and he is a high school TRACK COACH. Well! After doing this practice the first time, he opted to have us do it every day for three in a row and even invited some of his athletes to do it as well. He even bought the video on his own account, which he just opened after doing this ! One great Leg practice for sure! Hits all the main areas and it is really amazing to see improvement in this part of our bodies (we're coming up on 50!) in just one day! Thank you and we are really looking forward to meeting you in person at the Yoga Event in Mexico in February! :)
Sorry to keep commenting on this class! Just wanted to give a heads up that it doesn't come up when you search Yoga for Runners, and it probably ought to as this is a great runners' class :-)
As a runner increasing my mileage, I've been suffering with sore legs, on my long run today my calves were tight and painful. They feel an awful lot better after doing this class, and I'm hoping I'll feel the benefits on my run tomorrow too! Thank you so much for this class
Just as a follow up, ,my legs really did feel a lot better on the next day's run , no tightness in the calves at all :-)
I have a dead balance nerve on my left side. I need to keep three points in the floor at all times or risk injury. What is the best way to do that if I can't put my hands in my knee in this exercise set?
Great class..thank you
Thank you David!!!! I am enjoying the newfound looseness in my legs.
I subscribed to the site just to get this class, and after doing it only once I can say it was worth it. Thank you!
Great class! It has been difficult for me to get back to running due to tight hip muscles. This quick session definitely helped me out with that.
I run and my legs get very tight. This was a great post run stretch. My legs felt relaxed throughout the day and the next, despite my very sedentary office life.
I'm recovering from a knee injury and found this class an extraordinary way to keep flexibility. The hip opener is so good! David is a great teacher. I'm so thankful to all the DYWM team
This is a well-taught, focused stretching sequence. I have an injury that I am working through, this was so helpful this morning.
Fibromyalgia causes constant, painful muscle contractions in my legs and feet. My quads are a particular problem: very deep knots & relatively flexible. Regular stretches just don't stretch enough. This was just dreamy. I'm thinking of trying it with knee pads to help keep my knees happy.
