Take a break from moving and flowing to settle into stillness. In this practice, Nyk guides you through a full-body yin sequence that's designed to create a sense of groundedness in your body from your head to your toes. Note: You will need two blankets and two blocks for this class.
This can either be done as a stand-alone class or as Day 7 of Grounding and Strength 14-Day Beginner Yoga Challenge.

lovely way to start the week
Left a five star rating about this class a couple of years ago. Today - again on a Friday - it came my way. I love the simplicity of poses and the positive feeling it has given me again. Thanks, Nyk.
A new class for me and a little too long in the poses. Perhaps I need to try it again soon.
Thank you Nyk
Was looking for something long and yin, and this was lovely, Nyk! Namaste.
So glad it fit the bill 💜
Thank you. I'm grateful for your guidance, the long poses and gentle, grounding practice.
my pleasure
What a gem of a class! And what a beautiful teacher and practice this was for me on this Sunday. I'm so grateful for discovering. Thank you, Nyk!
YAY! thanks so much for sharing your practice and your feed back <3
This was a wonderful practice for me, Nyk. To be still and grounded felt so good on my body. Thank you so much.
Yay, I'm so glad
This was a crazy challenge for my mind. Half way through I wanted to end the class. I decided to commit to completing the pose on the other side and almost immediately felt intense grounding sensation. For me this is a charged and tingling pulling sensation almost like little bubbles inside my body bouncing around. I focused on my breathing as suggested and went on to enjoy the rest of the class. Thank you Nyk for this amazing class filled with stillness. Namaste.
What a beautiful transition, from challenge to openess. Thanks for sharing your experince and welcome to the Yinside <3
"Notice the echo of that pose in your body" I love this class, Nyk! Classes that move slowly and hold in poses for extended time have been very challenging for me to completely enjoy, but I have been working on that for a while now. This class has left me feeling more space and opening in the nooks and crannies. Also- the multiple options and invitations are lovely. Thank you. Namaste.
Thank you for sharing your practice <3
Second time posting this comment - a bit of a glitch at the robot box.
Anyway, I really enjoyed the lesson starting with centering - many of the other lessons don't and I miss it. A very relaxing and meditative practice - I feel a lot better. I appreciate the acupressure point for grounding - good to know. I also appreciate the choice to have music or no music. I prefer without as I find that I can go deeper into my practice without music. This is one of the reasons that I enjoy doing the programs as you find teachers and lessons that you would normally not choose. Great lesson.
Thanks for your feedback, I'm so glad you enjoyed the class! who needs music when we have the sounds of Nature to practice with :-)
Hi Nyk....I love your yin and restorative classes. My favorites on this site are the outdoor classes. So glad you are outside for this one...can you consider doing more outdoors when able?! I am in Ontario and love seeing the West Coast. I used to live out there! Namaste and thanks Nyk:)
I very much hope to! thanks for you feedback <3
My favorite Nyk class so far, thank you! I was pleasantly surprised at how strong of a practice it was, with lots of options to sink deeper or step back a bit as needed. My only suggestion with this class and others would be to mention right/left sides. I'm often so in the moment that I don't remember which side I just did, so the "other side" or "other leg" isn't always helpful. (But, I suppose, that's something to work on in my yoga practice.)
Thanks so much I’m glad you liked. I normally do cue left and rights but that typically leaves lefties always practicing on their less favoured side.
I love that reasoning! Thank you.
Thank you, beautiful and relaxing.
My pleasure
Thank you Nyk. I love the long silences between poses. I feel very peaceful and relaxed now.
That makes my heart happy
Never did this yoga style before. If it would have been part of my 21 day program I would never know what I miossed.
This was absolutely beautiful, especially after a crazy Friday. Stressed out - I know now where to go. Thanks for bringing other yoga to me as part of a program.

Oh, thank you so much, Nyk, for such a lovely class. I kept putting my practice off today, almost not doing it, but I ended up doing it by candlelight, and it was wonderful! I feel so much better!
Sounds lovely!
So relaxing! My day was busy so I didn’t get to my yoga practice until evening. This was a perfect class at the end of my day. This was my first class with Nyk, and I plan to try other classes.
Yay! I’m so glad you found it helpful.
Thank you! Very lovely, Just what I needed to release a lot of stress and anxiety from the past few days. I'll sleep well tonight.
I love that thanks for sharing <3
