This challenging beginner class will teach you how to strengthen and prepare your body for forearm balance (pincha mayurasana). Perfect for beginners progressing towards a more intermediate practice, this class will also help open your shoulders, chest, and hamstrings. Note: Although blocks are not needed for this class, some practitioners may want to have a couple on hand to help support a few of the balancing postures.

Thanks Rachel. This class was great for opening up my shoulders. Namaste!
Rachel, Thank you for this great preparation. Which class would you recommend as the next progression from this?

Thank you Teacher, for your kind and detailed instruction. I will do this class and build strength until I feel I have mastered the balance at the end.
Great practice and Rachel is so detailed in explaining what to do and why. A wonderful tutorial type practice.
Thank you, Rachel. You make the more challenging poses seem manageable. Can I hope that you'll follow this up with a full forearm balance class someday?
Rachel, Thanks for another great "preparation for" class! I've been working on forearm balance since the Omega retreat, and I think that the shoulder strength you build in this session will help me progress.
