I am on the 2nd semester and I feel that there is too much forward-leaning poses. At the end of the class, I felt sharp pains in the belly and I could not move. The pain went away after I lay on my left side, but I was very scared :(

Thanks for this lovely, gentle series of classes, Sarah Jane. It's great to have some short, relaxing, nourishing routines that I can do when I'm feeling creaky a day of waddling around with the bump!

Hi, did you ever try this one when actually pregnant? (Or with some pregnant yogi friends?) I'd be surprised if there were many women who found the forward-leaning poses possible in their third trimester. It's not a case of flexibility; there simply isn't space for belly. I'd suggest amending class description to recommend for first and second trimesters perhaps.

Hi there- Yes, actually at 36 pregnant with my second I find I can still do the forward leaning postures but everyone carries baby differently and every body has its limits for sure. What you've cued me to is that I should be offering more alternatives than I did in this video and that is helpful. As a suggestion, separating your legs more in these postures, and taking care in the third trimester to not do such a deep fold is best for A) not squishing belly or bringing on heart burn and discomfort and B) not over stretching giving all of the muscle, joint and ligament laxity happening in the last few weeks of pregnancy. I do hope this helps. Thank you for the feedback!
