Chair Yoga for the Lower Body
This chair yoga class teaches you how to stretch your lower body while in a chair. Sitting in a chair is often the best way to stretch and strengthen body, particularly if you're a senior, you're tight or you have a disability that makes it difficult to stand or sit on the floor for long periods. You can find exercises for your upper body here.

Thank you, David, for making this video! I have been blessed with yet another soccer injury so I am unable to practice as I normally would right now. Thank you for taking on the feedback and making a video like this, guaranteed I will be returning to it lots in the next few weeks to assist recovery :)
I've been following, and am now a subscriber, to this website for a while now but never paid attention to the chair yoga sessions. Today is Thursday - broke my leg last Friday - and I've started doing the chair yoga to help my poor "confined to sitting" back. You are filling a very important niche, David - thank you!!
Just had a total hip replacement and this and the class for chair upper body have been a bit of a lifesaver. I'll look at the chair sun salutations tomorrow.
Peace
Thank you very much! I am recovering from a surgery on the knee, and this class is very great to soften it to pursue my ergotherapy and physiotherapy exercices during the day. I do it with the chair yoga for the upper body, so I continue to work all my body even with my limitation.
