This can either be done as a stand-alone class or as Day 6 - Forward Folds in Melissa's weeklong series: Basics and Beyond 7-Day Yoga Challenge. Join Melissa as she takes you through a slower paced practice that focuses on forward folding in standing and seated poses. Note: You will need 2 blocks for this class.

in doing the seated pose with legs out wide, I can't bend forward much and my back is very curled backwards. just don't have much flexibility there. this is both with and without block underneath me. any recommendations for alterations?

I'm sorry I missed this comment! Yes, you could stand up and do a wide leg forward fold or lie back and do happy baby. In both those shapes you will have more room than you do in a seated position.
