Yoga for Sleepy Heads

Beginner II
Not a morning person? Check out this yin to yang practice where Nyk flips the order of a traditional yoga class. She begins the class lying down, then moves you through seated poses into kneeling pose, and finishes the class in a standing posture ready to begin the day.

Perfect for a late afternoon practice to wake the body and mind back up and out from all the day has brought. Not just for sleepyheads, but also for those who want to reenergize for what’s ahead. Thanks so much, Nyk. I didn’t even know I needed to try this!

We always hear there is no "right" way, we are all different and I love that I feel that truth in this practice. Thank you.

Thank you. This was really lovely after a long day in the ‘home Office’. And the tapping is so interesting. I would love to experiment Some more with that in combination with yoga. Thank you Nyk!

It's been a long week and I really needed a wind down sort of day but still wanted to do yoga. So glad I tried this class. Loosened me up while relaxing me. Thank you!

During an anxious period I decided to try this and it was worked well. Beginning all soft and stretchy, calm, Nyk slowly takes us into wakefulness. Great!

Wow! What a great practice. My first practice with Nyk, and it won't be my last. After a couple big days working in the yard, I was feeling stiff, sore and slow moving when I woke up this morning. This is exactly what I needed to "restore" my body and get some energy back to get on with the day. I loved the tapping at the end. I might try to incorporate tapping everyday to help wake up. Do you have just a quick guided tapping video? Felt so good. Thank you Nyk for sharing this.

I love playful, chatty yin practices. It really feels energising at the end, when I repeat it in the future I think I'd do a few sun salutations rather than the tapping section!
