This class is a more challenging beginner yoga flow that invites you to cultivate self compassion. Coming from a “no pain no gain” culture, many of us benefit from being reminded that practising yoga in a way that helps us honor the experience pleasure in the body can be a more effective way to calm the nervous system, while still building strength and alignment. This class can also help you appreciate the experience of pleasure in your daily life.

HI bethanymott
Thank you so much for the compliment! I appreciate what shows up when I offer a class, trusting intuition and inviting playfulness are key. I'm looking forward to my next class as well!

i really related to the comments on the new patterns and the judgments of the old patterns. sleeping in fetal position or more "closed" positions has become something of an issue for me now. trying to trust the body. i mean.. if im not resting, trusting, in sleep, or final relaxation then when right. its just ive known peaceful sleep in open positions too. im a bigger guy too at least in skeletal structure and i have this intuitive sense that I am supposed to be big and strong muscularly, too, but im trying to resist a kind of more intellectual "masculinity" at the same time. probably more info than anyone cares for but there it is! thanks ron

Hey There!
Thank you for taking the time to write your reflections!
I appreciate that the class offered you a place to explore things which you are holding in your awareness outside of your asana practice. Exploring our Masculinity in authentic ways... nice... seems this is what is being asked of us at this time. Enjoy the ride!

Thanks for this class, Ron. I'm slowly coming back to yoga after my first ever (and hopefully not first of many!) slipped disc last month. I've been doing yoga with Fiji for several years now and have had to practice a bit of humilty and compassion with the impatient parts of me striving to get back into that more vigourous flow. The concept and meditative words alongside this self compassion practice has been just what I need. Love the pleasure principle, and I'll be doing more of Ron's classes from now on!
