Because so many behaviours are determined by the unconscious mind, it is imperative that you get it on board with your healing. In this gentle and nurturing class, Nicky lovingly uses mantra to support the unconscious mind in relaxing. When practiced regularly, you will experience a deeper feeling of inner peace across all aspects of your life - because when you relax yourself, you heal yourself.

I enjoyed the practice except for the seated forward folds, both of which were too intense for me.

I enjoyed the practice except for the seated forward folds, both of which were too intense for me. Sitting upright on a bolster is as far as I can bend without pain. Any suggestions?

Sorry to hear this was frustrating for you. These folds do require some softening and space that takes time to create, be patient and find your own edge then linger there with your breath. Don't feel you have to go into the full variation of any pose. I often get students to try a rolled up blanket under the back of the knees to easy the hamstring tension in this kind of fold.
