I didn't know what hanumanasana is, I was just looking for something stretchy and short for this morning. When Andrea said we were doing the splits partway in, I wanted to back out - no way! But I followed through and surprised myself! This is a great way to work into a front split, it meets you where you are instead of daunting you with a full expression of the pose. My splits were pretty high, but they felt AMAZING. Will definitely be coming back to this one again! Love the story telling that was woven into the practice as well, that's something I've never gotten from a yoga class before.
