This is a great exercise to do if you find yourself sitting for long periods of time, and in particular if you tend to slouch. This exercise strengthens the muscles that help reposition your shoulders properly and help you sit more upright.

Hi there,
My massage therapist recommended this site. I have Lupus and find many exercises difficult. I will try this one and the trap strengthening one to see how it goes. I have rounded shoulders and need to improve my posture. Neck, and upper back are always so tight. I often have rib pain and need chiropractor adjustment and massage.

I will definitely do this exercise. My upper back is rounded and I have osteoporosis.
