This is the best way to isolate the achilles tendon. Stretching the achilles can help a lot when trying to lengthen the calf muscles.

If you aren't able to feel anything in this stretch, try pulling all of your toes at the same time, closer to your shin bone. If you still don't feel anything, your achilles tendon may not need stretching.
