I Heart Backbends - Shorter Class

This fun power yoga flow class is full of heart opening and back bending, with lots of time spent on releasing the quadriceps, hip-flexors, internal hip rotators and strengthening the shoulders and core in poses like side plank. This is a slightly shorter version of Crista's full class, for those who are short on time.

I almost didn’t do this class because of the advanced label but I’m so glad I did. It was an awesome challenge and offered much needed stretches. Thank you Crista!
I so appreciate having the occasional advanced class as part of an intermediate challenge and I am glad to have given this one a try too. It didn't really work for me though as my feelings of awkwardness in the poses and during the flow prevented me from achieving the practice I was hoping for today. Oh well, easy enough to do another quickie class that I'm familiar with so that I can leave my mat feeling the way I want to. Thanks doyogawithme for the challenge.
Very challenging, but not out of reach. This challenge has me realizing that I should dare to try advanced classes more often!
This one is very juicy and I loved it! I especially enjoyed the deep quad stretch near the end, and my hip flexors were also feeling lively during those low lunges.
