This was my first ever yoga video from DYWM. I have done a couple of yoga classes and a few yoga video's but not for many years. I did about 9 months of pilates last year. I enjoyed this video - although was sadly quite limited by space in my room. I found it difficult at times, particularly as I seem to have some very tight spots in my body and found myself shaking during some of the poses. I'll definitely persist and hopefully with some bigger space and practice it'll get better. Thanks.

I found myself shaking during some poses as well and trying extremely hard to relax my body and just breathe. It occurred during two poses. The one where you put one leg in the air and touch your hands to the ground (vertical split) and when I was on my back with my legs spread and my knees bend (I believe she called it "baby feet"?)

Is this normal, or am I not doing the pose correctly?

Hi Tyler. Feeling your body shake is quite common, particularly for new students or those who are trying something a little more challenging. Muscles shake when they are pushed to their limit, whether through stretch or strength training. So yes, it's ok and good and nothing to be concerned about, unless you are also experiencing pain or unreasonable discomfort.

In fact, in my own experience I've always considered shaking as a sign of progress (and that I may end up feeling quite sore the next day). So it's also important not to push yourself too much when your muscles are shaking.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

I am bored easily by most gentle stretch videos. I am high energy but my muscles get sore too, so this session is perfect! Adding to my rotation.

This was the perfect yoga video for me to do in my office during my lunch break. Definitely centers me and helps me forget about the stressors of the day. Thank you.

This is my first doyogawithme.com video and I'm so happy I joined! I took a break from yoga some years ago and am just coming back to it. I exercise at night and this really is fantastic for my lifestyle (I spend 4 hours commuting everyday and then spend 7 hours sitting at my desk; after a hard day, all I want to do is stretch out my cramped body so thank you so much for this...

Full disclosure, I almost fell asleep during the cool down!
