A friend suggested DoYogaWithMe when I was rehabbing after a knee injury. I got a lot from their Yoga For Athletes section. I've taken classes focusing on increasing the flexibility of the IT band and had great results. I've also done some of their Yoga For Runners classes, and have seen a decrease in soreness and injury frequency as a result. Like many of the other testimonials, I just wanted to take the time to thank you for this wonderful website. It is a breath of fresh air compared to all of the other monthly subscription sites and the quality of the instruction is outstanding. I usually practice yoga late at night and I already feel transformed by the access to such great videos, which I can watch anytime. Hello David. I signed up on your site fairly recently, after a fair length of time on yogoTV and just felt ready for a change. I have really enjoyed the classes I have discovered, but tonight signed up for "Beginner to Intermediate" and just wanted you to know how amazing an experience it has been having just completed the first class. Everything - the setting, the music, the sequences, the voice of instruction - all worked so beautifully together. It was an amazing class. I love love love your site and all the teachers that I have practiced with thus far. I have recommended it to all my friends who do yoga (or not) as a really solid place to learn yoga practices at all levels that are comprehensive, safe, and well cued. I am just started my YTT 200 hour training at age 67 to deepen my own practice as I age and to share with others of my age and older, as well as my Let Your Yoga Dance practice. As part of my training for the training, aside from my local yoga teacher, I have been doing yoga with you and some of the other teachers since last Winter. I have learned so many new things, especially about entering the postures, making adjustments based on the verbal cues and breathing. I wish I lived on the West Coast, as I'd be traveling up to BC to take some classes. It is truly a fantastic service to others, and I so appreciate it. I just wanted to say thank you so much for this amazing resource. I am a PhD student and in a financially tight situation right now, thus I cannot afford regular yoga classes. Still I want to keep up my practice since it really helps me a lot relaxing from a day at the desk and keeping my back problems in check. After giving birth to my son, I was stuck at home and had no income and not much money to spare. My partner is still waiting for his visa to be granted so I am alone with the bub and unable to work or claim benefits. My body was in pieces, stiff, achey and I kept waking up in pain during the night. When I found doyogawithme, I couldn’t believe my luck. I started off with a 15min hip therapy class and never looked back. The short classes really do get down to business very quickly and being able to do a couple of them through the day increased my mobility and paved the way to good health. I’ve now lost 30kg of baby weight, sleep better and lordosis is partially corrected through pelvic and abdominal work. Without access to free yoga instruction at whatever time of day, it would have taken me a lot longer to ‘feel better’. And now, I know that when my back is aching from feeding, bending over prams and car seats, there’s a class or two which will target those tense spots. I know that when I have the luxury of an hour to myself, I’ll feel like a million bucks after one of the longer classes. So thank you, David, for such a brilliant resource! I also really appreciate that the website doesn’t “pester” for donations or limit access in any way. Wonderful. I will donate again! Hey David. I want to thank you for your wonderful website. I discovered it about half a year ago and I learned so much from a lot of the videos. I am 23 years old girl from Switzerland and study social work at the University. So at the moment I am between my studies of social work and my work as a social worker. Because of this I don't earn a lot and your site gave/gives me the possibility to do yoga without a lot of money. So I got further into the world of Yoga and decided to do a 200hrs this summer and now I teach in Switzerland. So thank you for being part of my Yoga path. I also discovered the Yoga programs now and downloaded one of them. At the moment I can't pay for it, but I want to do the program and save a bit of money and as soon as it is possible for me, I will pay for it. I just wanted to get in touch regarding the set up you have in terms of paying what you feel is appropriate for the course. A few weeks ago I downloaded the "Yoga For Absolute Beginners" course for free. The reason I have looked into yoga is for stress reasons and to coincide with a fitness plan I am involved with. It so happens to be a time for me where I have nothing in the bank but I wanted to send a thank you for all the work you put in to these videos. It has given me an amazing opportunity to avail of high quality yoga videos in my own home and although things are very tight at the moment, I will absolutely be donating to the cause as soon as they get better. I'm 4 months pregnant and have had to modify my practice for my changing body and growing belly. It was a little tough for me because I've always preferred studio run classes with groups but hadn't found a prenatal class in my area. Your online prenatal classes that I can do at home have been a life saver. I've since found a local studio with a prenatal class, which is great, but I still love practicing at home with yours. Your site has opened up a whole new realm in my practice by bringing it in to my home. I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart for that! In fact, I'm at a wedding in Thailand at the moment and have been using both Petra and Fiji's classes while I've been here so I'm not missing out!! I am a college student who has been interested in yoga for years. I am practicing as an intermediate, with a good step towards bakasana as a beginning inversion. I attend group fitness yoga classes at my campus, but for the days I cannot make it, I am absolutely thrilled I can turn towards your videos for not only convenience, but to advance in my experience level. I am in the process of rebuilding my savings account, for obvious reasons, so it's so relieving knowing I can watch these videos whenever I'm in the need for some meditation. I just wanted to write to say and that I really, really appreciate your grand endeavor! Your website has the perfect amount of variety for me, and I love your selection of teachers, teaching styles, and most especially the clear instruction that can be followed with the eyes or the ears alone. I practice in a very small space - only a foot or so of clearance around the sides of my mat, and I have to have the computer alongside the mat, so I cannot look directly at it most of the time. The way you and the other instructors teach - I hardly need to look, but when I do I appreciate the beautiful settings you film in. It's funny though - all those gorgeous outdoor locations inspired me to do yoga in the woods last time I went camping, and I have to say, British Columbia must have a LOT fewer bugs and mosquitoes than Michigan! Or else you and your instructors are so centered and focused that you do not notice them lol. Anyway, your website has allowed me to increase my practice to five or six times a week, and the fact that I can approach the practices knowing the intensity I will experience and counting on the consistent quality of instruction really helps me tailor my practice to what I need on any particular day. I am sure you get tons of these messages but I just wanted to say thank you. I just came back from making a donation but that did not feel enough so I wanted to express my gratitude with words too. I haven't been able to get away and do yoga since my little one was born a year ago. I was never a dedicated student with multiple practices a week but tried to catch a weekly class. Over the last year I have noticed my body get increasingly tight and stiff, and my carpal tunnel worsen, although it should have been getting better since I am no longer working at a desk daily.... I stumbled upon your hamstring and hip classes on YouTube and have been hooked for the last month. Three times a week, instead of complaining that my baby wakes up at 5:30 AM, I can do a class and slowly wake up, starting the day on such a positive note. The other day he slept in and I regretted having missed my class time lol!! Thank you so much for this service. It's so great for those who can't get to a class, or who don't think it would be worth the expense and hassle to arrange attending one (because they would not be strong enough to go through a whole class, or they can't get enough consecutive free time to do so, or whatever reason). My name is Laura Whang and I am from Los Angeles, CA. I moved to South Korea with my husband a year ago and have found it difficult to adjust. Everything is different and even if I found a yoga or workout class it is all in Korean. I found your website about three months ago and have been practicing yoga four times a week since then. It has truly changed my life. I had dabbled with yoga in LA a few times but never really incorporated it into my life. Because of your website and, in particular, Fiji McAlpine's yoga classes, it has made me both physically and mentally strong. I can deal with life in a different culture much better than I could a few months ago and want you to know how truly grateful I am to you. It can be very isolating living in a country that doesn't speak the language I know and yoga has truly been a blessing.
