Monthly Update - July 2018

Summer is here! We’ve got some gentle classes to help you beat the heat as well as new pilates offerings to tone and hone… whatever suits your needs between dips in the lake, picnics with friends and fun in the sun!

Pilates: Beginner Level 1, Class 2
Pilates | 49 min | Beginner
Kathi Ells

Kathi takes what you learned in her Pilates Fundamentals: The Five Principles and her Pilates: Beginner Level 1 and takes it up a notch, challenging you with a slightly more difficult pilates mat class. This class will continue to strengthen your core, re-align your body and help you feel strong, stable and mobile. It’s a great class for lower back weakness and pain and a great overall workout.

Pilates: Level 2, Class 4
Pilates | 44 min | Intermediate
Instructor: Kathi Ells

This class is for the dedicated pilates students who are comfortable with the fundamentals and have done enough mat pilates classes that they feel like they have developed significant strength, endurance and control. Kathi’s playful approach and sense of humor make the difficult times a little easier to take, but it’s such a big payoff!

Tune Into You
Power Yoga | 51 min | Intermediate
Instructor: Fiji McAlpine
In this intermediate vinyasa yoga class, Fiji guides you in a way that encourages you to tune into your own internal processes, paying attention to your tension, alignment and where you direct your energy. It’s a great way to learn about yourself, how your body works and what you can do to open up tight areas and feel lighter, more spacious and relaxed when you practice.

Yoga for 55+: Return to Practice
Yoga for Seniors | 28 min | Beginner
Instructor: Satiya Channer
Satiya encourages anyone, of all levels, to join her in this accessible, gentle hatha yoga class. Her guidance is so sweetly devine and her pacing allows you to spend time in the poses, sinking into your tension and giving the body the opportunity to release deeply. This is a particularly nice class for beginners or anyone who is just getting back into yoga.

Yoga for 55+: A Beginner Flow
Yoga for Seniors | 68 min | Beginner
Instructor: Satiya Channer
Another great yoga class for 55+, this one covers so many different areas of the body, focal points and practices. From breath work to sun salutations to many great poses to release the back, hips, legs and shoulders, you will appreciate this beautifully-designed gentle hatha yoga class. Satiya shines in her role as guide and makes it very easy to follow every step of the way.
