Registration is Open For Our 250-Hour Online Yoga Teacher Training
After two years of planning, designing, writing, filming, planning more, filming more, writing more and then building the program online, our 250-hour YTT program officially launched on September 16, 2019. Our first cohort (group of students who move through the courses together) started on October 14, 2019 and is currently is busy working through the courses with the guidance of our YTT faculty.
If you are looking to join our January 13, 2020 cohort, or if you would like to check out all of our YTT options, go to our Yoga Teacher Training site. At the top you will see a button that takes you to our Level 1 Orientation, which is a free course that introduces you to the entire YTT program, helping you make an informed decision about whether our training will be right for you . If you scroll to the bottom of the page, you will find all of our certification package options. You can sign up for just the Level 1 course and decide later whether to move into Level 2, or you can pay for both Level 1 and Level 2 together, which saves you money. I’ll cover these options in more detail further down but let’s have a look at our YTT design first.
AFFORDABLE, CONVENIENT AND PROFESSIONAL
Our hybrid online/in-person yoga teacher certification program is an ideal educational combination. Level 1 and Level 2 are entirely online, each level approximately 90 hours. After completing Levels 1 and 2 (180 hours in total), you complete your 250-hour training with an in-person, 70-hour, 7 day retreat. The location and date for each Level 3 Retreat will be chosen based on the needs of the students wanting to graduate.
This unique online/in-person approach maximizes affordability, convenience and learning potential for the student. And our professional approach to educational design makes this program a fantastic first step toward becoming a professional yoga instructor.
Let’s take a look at our YTT options.
SELF-PACED VS COHORT CERTIFICATION PACKAGES
You can choose to either move through the program on your own, at your own pace, completing it when you can, or you can progress with other students, joining study groups and sharing your experience with others.
Our Self-Paced Certification allows you to do the courses at your own pace and convenience. You can begin any course anytime - although we encourage you to proceed in order - make your way through the courses as you like and, once you’ve completed Level 1 and 2, you can join the Level 3 Retreat that works best for you. You will have access to faculty at all times, with a response time of 3-5 days.
Our Cohort Certification gives you the opportunity to share the experience with other students, working in study groups, asking and answering questions and moving through the courses together. The cohort option also gives you better access to faculty, who typically respond within 1-3 days.
We also have flexible payment options. You can choose from three payment options:
Pay per Course = $35/Course; $675/Level; $1,350 for 2 Levels
Pay per Level = $600/Level; $1,200 for 2 Levels
Pay for Level 1 and 2 together = $575/Level; $1,150 for 2 Levels
If you choose to pay for the courses individually,, Level 1 and 2 each have 17 courses, with one free, 15 that are $35 each and a final evaluation that is $150, for a total of $675. If you choose option 2, Level 1 and Level 2 certification packages are each $600 (saving you $75 per level). If you choose option 3, the Level 1 and 2 package is $1,150 (saving you another $50 overall).
We have many certification packages, including Cohorts that begin on three different dates in 2020 (Jan 13, Apr 6 and Sep 7, 2020) and into 2021 (Jan 11, 2021), as well as the Self-Paced option. Scroll down to the bottom of our YTT Homepage to see them all or check out one of these:
LEVEL 3 RETREAT
The Level 3 retreat will be your opportunity to integrate what you learned in Levels 1 and 2, learn more through asana labs, philosophical explorations and experiential activities and grow your skills as a confident teacher. The Level 3 retreat is $1,500, plus transport, accommodation and food. The location and dates will be based on the preferences of the students moving through Levels 1 and 2. For more information, go to our Level 3 Retreat page.
OUR YTT COURSE DESIGN
The overall course design was created by Rachel Scott (ERYT 500), a yoga teacher training instructor with seven years of YTT teaching and design experience, extensive academic training (MSci Instructional Systems and Learning Technologies, BA Columbia University) and over 4,500 hours of teaching under her belt. Her cumulative experience as a trainer, teacher and mentor helped her build this robust and transformational program from the ground up.
Each course has been designed to be engaging and relevant, helping you deepen your understanding of yourself, yoga and what it means to teach. We have strived to make it fun, professional and accessible, helping prepare you for what could be a lifelong journey as a yoga student and teacher.

OUR YTT FACULTY
Rachel is joined by three other gifted DYWM yoga teachers: Fiji McAlpine (ERYT 500), Tracey Noseworthy (ERYT 500) and David Procyshyn (ERYT 200), who have a combined teaching experience of over 60 years. Each is passionately devoted to learning and teaching, which made it easy for them to contribute their individual styles and skill sets to this YTT program. They also happen to be great friends!

YOUR TEACHING CERTIFICATE
After you graduate from our 250-hour yoga teacher training program, you will receive a 250-hour certificate of completion, which will give you the ability to apply for insurance and teach anywhere in the world.
