About the Resort
Mar de Jade is a beautiful retreat center in the peaceful fishing village of Chacala on Mexico's Pacific coast. Nestled in the lush jungle along a half mile bay of stunning and quiet beach, Mar de Jade has everything you could hope for and more. The accommodations, grounds, food and amenities support the overall intention of this retreat and will allow you to truly unwind and absorb the abundance that surrounds you. Check it out at the Mar de Jade website and have a look at the pictures on their Flickr page.
Whether you are attending a yoga retreat or simply relaxing on vacation you can enjoy three delicious and nutritious meals per day (the cost is included in your room fee), served buffet style, in the breezy open-air dining terrace overlooking Chacala bay. All food served at Mar de Jade is prepared with great care, attention and love. We focus on offering healthy, local and when possible, organic products. We serve vegetarian dishes as well as fresh fish, seafood, and some chicken.
Our meals are prepared from scratch using many ingredients from our own organic farm; free range eggs, organic milk, corn, beans, leafy greens, carrots, mangoes, passion fruit, hibiscus, peanuts and many other fruits and vegetables. At the buffet table, you can find many homemade goods such as: yogurt, cheese and other dairy products, soy milk, granola, breads and pastries, pastas, hummus, tofu, and our stellar organic peanut butter and mango marmalade (now available for purchase).
Our kitchen staff is happy to accommodate special dietary restrictions such as allergies, vegans or vegetarians, gluten-free, dairy-free, etc. All of our raw foods are carefully disinfected and washed with purified water. Purified water is also provided for drinking. [Credit: Mar de Jade website.]
