About This Event
Join Tracey Noseworthy for a 5 day journey inward to embrace the true essence of YOU. Through meditation, mantra, pranayama, and asana, we will open and discover who you really are and who you are capable of being. Settle in and get familiar with your body. Unwind, and dance with your strength in a slow flow.
First, we realign to the principles of foundation, build in commitment, and honour your practice . Then we revisit why you came, flirt with the inner strength found in trusting yourself and experience the Emotional Flow. Finally, we release and prep for reintegration. Seek an anchor to your source, clarity, authenticity and truth. Through this, encourage the body to embrace self-nourishment and intuitively respond with an open heart in your everyday.
Come prepared to sweat a little, laugh or cry a lot, harness the busy mind, entertain your inner spirit and recognize the power we hold when we rid the mind of its distractions. If you stopped holding yourself back ~ where would you go?

Located on 27 acres between the Santa Lucia Mountains and Pacific Ocean on California’s Big Sur coastline, Esalen Institute looks every bit the stunning wellness retreat or resort. With cliff-side hot springs, an art centre, elegant accommodation, beautiful studio and learning spaces, and kitchens and dining facilities supplied by an on-site organic farm, the institute is undeniably equipped to pamper. But Esalen is far more than a retreat centre. Since its founding in 1962, the Institute has been a hub of alternative learning.
Early lecturers included the likes of Ken Kesey, Alan Watts, and Aldous Huxley, and today some 20,000 annual visitors attend workshops on subjects as diverse as gestalt psychology, massage therapy, mindfulness, permaculture, economics, intimacy and, yes, yoga. So whether you're working towards that difficult pose, or taking a recovery soak in the hot springs, you'll know you're in the right place. For decades, Esalen has been a haven for people searching for an escape with a purpose. It's the perfect place to take your practice to the next level!
Three times a day, visitors gather at Esalen’s renowned lodge to enjoy delicious buffet-style meals incorporating produce from the institute’s organic farm, hormone-free dairy, local cage-free eggs, fresh caught fish, and all organic meats. Dairy free, vegetarian, vegan, and wheat free options come with every meal and the chefs are happy to tailor to specific dietary needs or allergies. Best of all, the lodge is open and stocked round-the-clock with coffee, tea, fruit, homemade breads, and tasty spreads in case you get a little peckish between meals or find yourself in the mood for a midnight snack!
Esalen Institute offers accommodation to suit an array of styles and budgets. Opt for a cozy and comfortable Standard Room, or spring for a Premium Room with an ocean view and luxuries like in-floor heating. Rock-paper-scissors with a friend for top bed in the bunkhouse, or book a Point House where you can curl up next to a wood stove in a living room all of your own. All accommodations radiate comfort and ease with exposed dark wooden finishes and exemplified log-cabin chic.
