David has spent much of his adult life understanding how to heal his lower back pain. In this class, David takes you through a beginner level yoga class that shows you how to strengthen your core to protect your lower back (including the transverse abdominis), how to use yoga stretches, or poses, to heal the lower back and how to use relaxation to speed up the healing process. The lower back stretches alone can cause great relief and the three approaches together will ensure that it lasts. This is the first of a 2-class series. The second class is Yoga for Lower Back Pain: Strengthen, Stretch and Relax Your Back II.

David, I am so grateful to have found DoYogaWithMe and YOU! You have such a special, sincere, caring manner that helps me to release tension. I have revisited this class for the second time and derived even more benefit. In the final relaxation pose (shavasana) I felt that recent burning, tingling in my right thigh that, with your guidance, released and dissipated. Tears flow at these moments which, to me, is an ultimate release. The best to you.

I've been suffering from mild lower back pain for about a year now, which has kept me from being as active as I was. While PT has helped, this class was great. My back was a little tight when I started and feels much better now. I'll for sure add this one to my go to list of classes. Thanks!!

All. I can say is WOW! Thank you so much David for this incredible series. I had a fall and landed on my tailbone about a month ago. I've only been working this series now for a couple of days and already feel improvement. I am inspired to become strong in my core as I venture into my middle years.
