The yin comes before the yang in this wonderful, heart-opening, shoulder-releasing and back pain-relieving yin/yang yoga class. Sarah-Jane helps you ease into a series of intense yin poses to release the shoulders first, then moves you through a flow that deepens shoulder openers before you lie down to relax in savasana. Note: you need a bolster, pillow or folded blanket for this class.

Equipment: Bolster
Style: Hatha Yoga, Yin and Yin/Yang Yoga

Based on all the comments I was expecting this to be a lot more difficult, but I found it to be perfect. I thought the poses were held for the perfect amount of time, and my shoulders now feel amazing! They've been giving me a lot of grief lately, so this was VERY appreciated. I feel so tall and open! Definitely adding to my regular practice. Thank you!

I enjoyed the class however after practicing yoga for a number of years I can certainly say this is not a beginner class.

Thanks. Did you find it too challenging? If you did, can you tell me in what way? We can always adjust these things when we get feedback.

I did this one as part of the 30 day challenge and also didn't find it beginner friendly. I was able to do it but I missed some more explanation of the poses, how to place hands and feet, which muscles we should be feeling, etc. as to avoid injuries.

I have also been practicing for many years and agree completely. I found that proper alignment cues were missing for beginners; if I didn't already have a strong practice, I would likely have injured myself.

A weird mix between some fairly advanced poses with a beginner approach. Felt a bit disjointed to me. But LOVE the focus shoulders and heart opener. Also, other than the first pose, no booster required for the rest of the practice.

The Yin was beautiful. I thought the Yang was a bit fast but I guess that's the point.

Ive got scoliosis so my doctor recommended yoga, figured i would try out an online class first to see how it goes.....even though i did this in my bedroom it still felt like i was up there with you on the beach.

this was my first time ever trying out yoga, i struggled a bit trying to stay balanced and not tripping over but im gonna try this again tomorrow to see how it goes.
Thank you!
