Vinyasa Yoga: Focus On Twists
This is a more gentle vinyasa style yoga class with a focus on using your breath and core to get you into your seated, standing and lunging poses. It's intended to slow you down and allow you to give more attention to your poses, with an emphasis on twists.
This can either be done as a stand-alone class or as Day 13 of the Daily Dose 30-Day Intermediate Yoga Challenge.

Lovely, though I seem to be a day ahead in Ireland :-) Namaste
I was very happy to see an intermediate class from Melissa. I love the style and pace of her classes, and while many of her beginner classes offer a valuable experience for all levels, it's great to see an intermediate option. I hope you are planning on many more!
For the challenge, I had to swap the two longer classes because of poor planning on my part, but I’m glad I did because I really enjoyed this class. I love Melissa and I enjoyed locust as a substitute for cobra or up dog. Her focus on core and breathing really helped my stability in the lunges. Great class!
I'm taking the 30-day yoga challenge for building resilience at the intermediate level - I will admit that the sequence of classes is tough for me and after 5 days of intense challenge, I needed a break. So I decided on this video today. It was a little too easy, but then again, that shows that I'm improving from all those other classes! That being said, this was an invaluable class - Melissa's emphasis on focusing on your breath and your core is really, REALLY important. I'm always relying on leverage to enter twists and this was a refreshing and humbling reminder that I need to go back to basics a bit before challenging myself to attempt harder classes. =) So those of you who count yourselves as intermediate/advanced, do yourself a favor and watch this one too.
