As she did in her popular Twist and Stretch class, Melissa guides you gently through a series of lovely, effective poses, focusing on bending but covering the entire body in an calm, attentive way. Always aware of alignment, Melissa's classes are absolutely perfect for the beginners, gentle yoga lovers, inflexible athletes and 55+, among others.

This is my go-to class when I'm in a funk and can't decide what to do. It is one of the very first classes I did when I came across DYWM back in 2015 and I keep coming back to it constantly. It's a perfect length, very balanced (ha! no pun intended!), and of course Melissa's soothing voice makes everything so much better. I love the tortoise pose which you don't see too often anywhere!

phenomenal. I'm recovering from a significant knee and foot surgery as well as a severly strained back. I was nervous to overdo but Melissa's class was perfect. She is very good at reminding you to go at your own pace and explaining adaptations. No pain and this is helping me safely recover.

I am returning to yoga very slowly after a 10 day hiatus to heal an injured shoulder. This pace and flow or just right and I feel so much better discovering there is yoga I can do safely. Any other suggestions for continuing with a shoulder “in recovery” mode?

Hello! I would suggest the wrist free class I filmed - Happy Wrists Yoga - and that takes your shoulder out of the class as well. And I tend not to do a ton of sun salutations in many of classes, anything listed as Hatha (rather than Vinyasa) would fit as well. And have you checked out my Basics and Beyond Challenge? That doesn't have a ton of sun salutations. Hope you find something that fits!

This was a great all-over-body stretch class for the beginner-to-inter. program which I am doing. But you know what would make this even better, would be to add another 10 minutes on the time of this practice so that we could hold some of these lovely stretches just a bit longer. I will bookmark this for the day I just need to stretch.

I haven't ventured very far in all the lessons and wondered if I may ask what might be recommended for more of the same? I've done the 7 day challenge with you too and keep coming back to those classes as well. I suppose I should also be adding strength exercises to my practice too, but not sure where to begin in yoga with this?

I took a peek through some of my other classes and would recommend my livestreamed class from August 2020, Go with the Flow, Deep Hip Opening Flow, Flow Yoga to Energize, Core Stretch and Strength and my first DYWM class ever - Bend and Stretch. That should give you plenty to play with for the next little while. Have fun!

This was my favorite class when starting to do yoga a couple of years ago. Really nice to reflect back on the time that have passed sine then. Both in my life in general, but also my body after a wile of yoga. This class may not be as challenging for me now as it was before, but still a lovely full body stretch!

I have to thank you so much for this wonderful class - it resolves my back pain for the day, it nourishes my heart too, so calming. I am now practising every day rather then relying on medication - I can’t tell you how grateful I am.

Thank you, Mellisa for this much needed class. Sheltering in place has me teaching online, not moving as much and getting stiff. This will become a regular for me any time I feel the need to stretch and breath deeper. With gratitude!!!

Thanks Melissa, I love this class, it was one of the first DYWM I found on utube and I come back to it regularly. You always make me feel comfortable , I'm pretty stiff and inflexible though that is improving greatly with daily practice but your style feels very inclusive and comfortable. I absolutely loved this. The combination of her soothing voice with the gentle music is so relaxing. The pace is perfect for calming down. I like that there is not too much lying around and breathing but there is still an emphasis on breathing with the gentle movements. The setting also contributes to the relaxing mood. Kelly from DoYogaWithMe here. Unfortunately, no, there is no way to lower the background music. This is part of the reason why most of our newer classes do not have any background music on them; to avoid these sorts of complications. Really sorry about that!

This class was perfect after a workday mostly on my feet. Coming back to yoga after an injury and this practice accommodated limitations but still allowed me to move as fully into a posture as was comfortable. Will definitely revisit this class often.

I just need to say; this video was one of the first classes I tried when I first joined DoYogaWithMe back in 2014. To this day, it is still one my absolute favourite classes to always come back to (Melissa's "Core Strength and Stretch" is another go-to favourite when I'm feeling a bit more of a challenge/strength). This video is the perfect amount of relaxation and stretch, combined with the soft piano music and perfect cues and instruction. Thank you Melissa.

Her voice instructions were not very help, I kept having to strain to look at the screen. The flow also felt a bit off and I stopped the video halfway. On a positive note, her voice was very soft and slow so a perfect practice before bedtime.
