This vinyasa flow class is a fluid practice balanced in breath and movement. Leave the “to do lists” off the mat and take the time to be with yourself. Arm balances, hip openers, and standing postures are explored. Notice how we can slow down time and strengthen both the muscles of the mind and body.

Fabulous practice, as usual, Tracey! The revolved half-Hanuman felt amazing. I don't think I've ever encountered that variation; I'll have to remember that. I love the transition from Crow to Headstand back to Crow. For those of you who struggle with that one, but are solid in Bakasana and Sirsasana, I would love to offer some tips: reach the head far forward from crow and softly land the forehead to the Earth, rolling further forward to the Crown, or just in front of it so that the arms and head are a good distance from one another, providing a closer to equilateral triangle, squeezing elbows in and balancing weight into the hands. When coming back out, roll back toward the forehead and press with everything you've got into the fingertips, clawing into Earth. That really helps me anyway. Enjoy the challenge!

Thank you immensely for offering this (beautifully described) advice! It's so helpful to play with fresh perspectives to entering/exiting poses. And that transition out, in particular, is among the... ah... less graceful of them... :)
I'll be trying it out with this visualization, for sure. Thank you, again!

Beautiful class! I have tight hips and shoulders and I found a lot of space after the class:)
I liked the sequence and the cues. Thank you!

Wow....what an absolutely wonderful class! I feel so good now! I have been practicing Yoga for over 10 years and I just now did my first headstand ever! At the age of 47! That is soooo cool! Even if I never do it again, this is a big day for me! Yes! Thank you for this wonderful class, Tracey.

Thanks for your comment! I have been practicing almost daily for five years and will turn 48 soon and am hoping to manage the headstand/forearm stand, etc. I have managed in Tracey’s class to get my head in the right position from crow, but can’t yet get my feet above the “teddy bear” headstand... Am practicing w many teachers on this site and am looking forward to Rachel’s inversion course. I told my kids about your inspiring message of headstand at 47 and I hope to get there this year! Wishing you a healthy year with many grounding and uplifting practices!
